Floyd County, Indiana
Floyd County is a County (United States), county located in the U.S. state of Indiana. Its county seat is New Albany, Indiana, New Albany. The population of the county was 80,484 as of the 2020 United States census. Floyd County has the second-smallest land area in the entire state. It was formed in the year 1819 from neighboring Clark County, Indiana, Clark and Harrison County, Indiana, Harrison counties. Aaron Burr
Aaron Burr Jr. (February 6, 1756 – September 14, 1836) was an American politician, businessman, lawyer, and Founding Fathers of the United States, Founding Father who served as the third vice president of the United States from 1801 to 1805 during Thomas Jefferson's Presidency of Thomas Jefferson, first presidential term. He founded the Manhattan Company on September 1, 1799. His personal and political conflict with Alexander Hamilton culminated in the Burr–Hamilton duel where Burr mortally wounded Hamilton. Bullitt County
Bullitt County is a county located in the north central portion of the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2020 census, the population was 82,217. Its county seat is Shepherdsville. The county was founded in 1796. Davis Floyd
Davis Floyd (1776 – December 13, 1834) was an Indiana Jeffersonian Republican politician who was convicted of aiding American Vice President Aaron Burr in the Burr conspiracy. Floyd was not convicted of treason however and returned to public life after several years working to redeem his reputation. He lost his wealth in the Panic of 1819 and died in obscurity in Florida 1834. Biography Early life Davis Floyd was born in 1776 to Robert and Lillian Floyd in Virginia. American Pioneer
American pioneers, also known as American settlers, were European American,Asian American, and African American settlers who migrated westward from the British Thirteen Colonies and later the United States of America to settle and develop areas of the nation within the continent of North America. The pioneer concept and ethos greatly predate the migration to the Western United States, with which they are commonly associated, and many places now considered "East" were settled by pioneers from even further east. James John Floyd
Colonel James John Floyd (1750 – 10 April 1783) was an American military officer. An early settler of St. Matthews, Kentucky, he helped lay out Louisville. In Kentucky, he served as a Colonel of the Kentucky Militia in which he participated in raids with George Rogers Clark and later became one of the first judges of Kentucky. The Indiana General Assembly is the state legislature, or legislative branch, of the U.S. state of Indiana. Corydon, Indiana
Corydon is a town in Harrison Township, Harrison County, Indiana, Harrison Township and the county seat of Harrison County, Indiana, located north of the Ohio River in the extreme southern part of the state. Corydon was founded in 1808 and served as the capital of the Indiana Territory from 1813 to 1816.
