Flameshovel Records Artists
Flameshovel Records is a record label from Chicago, Illinois, formed in the summer of 2000. Founded by Jesse Woghin and long-time friend Nash Grey, the duo were later joined by James Kenler. Grey left for Philadelphia in 2003 to start grad school but the remaining partners forged ahead. The label has since put out 43 releases, including releases by Maritime (band), Maritime, Chin Up Chin Up, Lying in States, and Bound Stems. As of December 5, 2010, the label had not released an album since September 2007. ''White Savage'' is a 1943 American Technicolor South Seas adventure film directed by Arthur Lubin and starring Maria Montez, Jon Hall and Sabu. The film was re-released by Realart in 1948 on a double-feature with the same three stars in ''Cobra Woman'' (1944) and again in 1953, under the title ''White Savage Woman''. Voltage, also known as (electrical) potential difference, electric pressure, or electric tension, is the difference in electric potential between two points. Sybris is an American indie rock band from Chicago, Illinois. History Sybris formed in 2003 in Chicago. The name is an intentional misspelling of Sybaris, an Ancient Greek city. They signed to Flameshovel Records for the release of their 2005 self-titled debut. Russian Circles is an American instrumental post-metal band based in Chicago, Illinois. The band was originally formed by childhood friends Mike Sullivan and Dave Turncrantz after their previous musical projects dissolved. The Race is an English indie rock band formed in 2004 in Reading, Berkshire, England. Make Believe (band)
Make Believe was an indie rock band, initially formed in Chicago, Illinois in 2003 as a touring version of Joan of Arc. The band was composed of lead vocalist Tim Kinsella, guitarist Sam Zurick, bassist Bobby Burg, and drummer/keyboardist Nate Kinsella. After 3 months of touring as Joan of Arc, the quartet returned home and decided to begin writing new songs with a more aggressive approach. Following a self-titled 5 track EP, their first full-length ''Shock of Being'' was released on October 4, 2005, followed by ''Of Course'' in 2006. June 20, 2007, Tim Kinsella announced on the Joan of Arc website that he was no longer a member of Make Believe.
