Fine Living (Sometimes called Fine Living Network or FLN) was a European television channel, initially owned and operated by Scripps Networks Interactive and later by Discovery Inc., from 2018 onwards. It broadcast from to . It featured documentaries, reality, and how-to shows related to home, cooking, travel, lifestyle and health. History The channel was operated by Scripps Networks Interactive in a joint venture with Chello Zone from the launch till 2018 when Discovery, Inc. acquired Scripps Networks Interactive. Fine Living HD launched in Europe on 1 September 2015. Fine Living ceased broadcasting in the Netherlands and Flanders on 31 January 2019. In high-definition television (HDTV) and video display technology, 1080i is a video display format with 1080 lines of vertical resolution and Interlaced video, interlaced scanning method. This format was once a standard in HDTV. It was particularly used for broadcast television because it can deliver high-resolution images without needing excessive bandwidth. This format is used in the SMPTE 292M standard. Definition The number "1080" in 1080i refers to the number of horizontal lines that make up the vertical resolution of the display. It primarily features programming in the fields of space, technology and science. The channel originally launched as Discovery Sci-Trek. TLC is a Dutch free-to-cable television channel which broadcasts lifestyle programmes. It airs programmes related to lifestyle, health, food, and reality shows. Its main target is the female audience. Warner Bros. Discovery EMEA launched the channel on 4 July 2011. Real Time (Discovery Real Time until 31 August 2010) is an Italian television channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery EMEA. The channel launched on 1 October 2005, becoming the sixth Discovery network to launch in Italy. It showed lifestyle programmes targeting a female upper-class audience of 25- to 44-year-olds. It features both foreign programmes and Italian programmes produced for the channel. On 7 April 2009 the channel adopted a new logo and a new look. This look had previously been adopted by Discovery Real Time France. After becoming the most viewed non-fiction entertainment channel on the Sky Italia platform, on 1 September 2010, it changed its name to "Real Time", and became available both on digital terrestrial and via free-to-air satellite, also joining the Tivùsat platform.
