Fatboy Slim
Norman Quentin Cook (born Quentin Leo Cook, 31 July 1963), also known as Fatboy Slim, is an English musician and DJ who helped popularise the big beat genre in the 1990s. His music makes extensive use of Sampling (music), samples from eclectic genres, combined with pop structures, processed rhythms and "sloganistic" vocals. In the 1980s, Cook was the bassist for the indie rock band the Housemartins, who achieved a UK number-one single with their cover of "Caravan of Love". After the Housemartins split, Cook moved to Brighton to pursue dance music. He formed the electronic group Beats International, who produced the number-one single "Dub Be Good to Me" in 1990, and played in the band Freak Power. He also released House music, house records under names including Pizzaman (duo), Pizzaman and the Mighty Dub Katz. Estes Industries is a model rocket company that was started in Denver, Colorado, USA. History Estes Industries was founded by Vernon Estes in 1958; in 1961, the company moved to a 77-acre tract of land on the outskirts of Penrose, Colorado. In 1969, Vernon sold the company to the Damon Corporation of Needham, Massachusetts, a company which also purchased a number of other hobby companies including a smaller competitor of Estes, Centuri Engineering of Phoenix, Arizona. Casper's Ice Cream
Casper's Ice Cream is a family owned American ice cream company based in Richmond, Utah. The company's most popular product is the FatBoy. History Casper's Ice Cream was established in 1925 by Casper Merrill (1902-1999) who made the first ice cream sundae on a stickbars with the milk and cream of his family's milk, and these bars were the original Ice Cream Nut Sundae on a Stick which he named it as the Casco Nut Sundaes. The first bars that are known today as the Fatboy Nut Sundaes were made with 10 gallon milk can. Merrill sold these ice cream bars on a 4th of July event and he then made the first Fatboy brand sandwich which was much larger than the usual ice cream novelty. Harley-Davidson FLSTF Fat Boy
The Harley-Davidson Fat Boy, is a V-twin softail cruiser motorcycle with solid-cast disc wheels. Designed by Willie G. Davidson and Louie Netz, Harley-Davidson built a prototype Fat Boy in Milwaukee for the Daytona Bike Week rally at Daytona Beach in 1988 and 1989. Fat Boys produced from 1990 to 2017 are coded FLSTF, and FLFB (& FLFBS) from 2018. An oft-repeated false etymology claims that the name comes from a contraction of Fat Man and Little Boy, the atomic bombs dropped on Japan during WWII, as a symbolic insult to Japanese motorcycles. This has been debunked, as the name "Fat Boy" actually comes from the observation that the motorcycle is somewhat wider than other bikes when viewed head-on.
