Fat Cat (singer)
Fat Cat (; born March 14, 1990), also known as Defconn Girl (), is a South Korean singer. Career Fat Cat gained notice after appearing in the music video for rapper Defconn's song "How Rappers Break Up Part 2," as well as for her participation in live performances with him. Her debut single, "Indifferent Love", was released on September 24. On September 25, she debuted on SBS' Inkigayo with "Indifferent Love" and impressed many viewers including choreographer Bae Sang Mi, who created her "Tik Tok" dance for the song. Later on, drama production company Curtain Call Media signed her up for a joint management deal in November 2011. Suicide Of Fat Cat
On 11 April 2024, at 4:43 AM, Liu Jie, a 20-year-old Chinese male gamer known as "Fat Cat" took his own life by jumping from a bridge in Yuzhong, Chongqing. After his suicide, his ex-girlfriend Tan faced a relentless online backlash on Chinese social media and was accused of exploiting him financially. In May 2024, Chinese authorities revealed that Liu's sister orchestrated this smear campaign against his ex-girlfriend, sharing private information and soliciting harassment against Tan. Police investigations later revealed Liu and Tan had a genuine relationship with mutual financial exchanges, and there was no evidence of exploitation. Liu's sister eventually admitted to her actions and apologized. The incident gained widespread media attention sparking debates on cyberbullying and gender dynamics in China. FatCat Records is an English independent record label based in Brighton. The label's output reaches into many styles including experimental rock, electronica, psychedelic folk, contemporary classical, noise and post-punk. Notable artists that have released music on the label include Sigur Rós, Múm, Animal Collective, Frightened Rabbit, Shopping, The Twilight Sad, Vashti Bunyan and We Were Promised Jetpacks. History 1989–2001 FatCat originally began in 1989 as a record store in Crawley, West Sussex, formed by Alex Knight, Dave Cawley and Andy Martin. It moved to central London in 1990, and originally specialised in Detroit and Chicago-based techno and house music. Grease Trucks
The Grease trucks were a group of food trucks located on the College Avenue Campus of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. They were known for serving, among other things, "Fat Sandwiches," a sub roll containing a combination of ingredients such as burgers, cheese, chicken fingers, french fries, falafel, and mozzarella sticks. In August 2004, '' Maxim Magazine's'' top sandwich in the nation was awarded to the "Fat Darrell," a sandwich invented by a student named Darrell Butler and commonly served by these trucks. The Grease trucks were an integral part of campus culture, serving as a meeting and hangout spot. ''Fat Cat and Friends'' was an Australian children's television show starring Fat Cat (full name: Frederick Alphonso Tubsy Cat or Francis Aloysius Tom Cat), a costumed character, who is an orange/ginger anthropomorphic cat who wears red braces, a blue bow tie and a green bowler hat and striped socks. The show ran from 1972 to 1991, after which it was cancelled in controversial circumstances.
