For My Pain
For My Pain... is a gothic metal supergroup from Oulu, Finland, featuring members from Embraze, Eternal Tears of Sorrow, Nightwish, Charon and Reflexion. The band released their debut studio album, ''Fallen'', in 2003. History The idea of For My Pain... started in 1999, when Altti Veteläinen and Petri Sankala, both from Eternal Tears of Sorrow, wanted to start a new project. They asked two old friends, Tuomas Holopainen and Lauri Tuohimaa, to join. All parties were interested, but as everyone was too busy, the project was postponed. A few years later the idea came up again, this time with a better timing since both Eternal Tears of Sorrow and Nightwish were having breaks. Two new members were asked to join, Olli-Pekka Törrö and Juha Kylmänen, and the band started recording their debut album in 2001. For My Pain...'s debut album ''Fallen'' was released in 2003. Finnish music magazine ''Soundi'' gave the album three out of five stars. In 2004, the band released a sin ...

Full Moon Party
The Full Moon Party (Thai: ฟูลมูนปาร์ตี้) is an all-night beach party that originated in Haad Rin on the island of Ko Pha-ngan, Thailand in 1985. The party takes place on the night of, before, or after every full moon. History The first Full Moon Party is said to have been improvised at a Paradise Bungalows on the beach in 1983 as a token of thanks to about 20–30 travelers, though the accuracy of this is disputed, as is the date of the original event. The parties gained fame through word of mouth, and the event now draws a crowd of about 5,000–30,000 every full moon. The party finishes at sunrise the next day. The bars on Sunrise Beach of Haad Rin play music such as psychedelic trance, R&B, drum and bass, house, dance, and reggae. The event has become a part of the itinerary of many travelers to Southeast Asia. The ruling military government in late 2014 banned all but the Full Moon Party. A police colonel summed up the attitude of the govern ...

Finite Model Property
In mathematical logic, a logic L has the finite model property (fmp for short) if any non-theorem of L is falsified by some ''finite'' model of L. Another way of putting this is to say that L has the fmp if for every formula ''A'' of L, ''A'' is an L-theorem if and only if ''A'' is a theorem of the theory of finite models of L. If L is finitely axiomatizable (and has a recursive set of inference rules) and has the fmp, then it is decidable. However, the result does not hold if L is merely recursively axiomatizable. Even if there are only finitely many finite models to choose from (up to isomorphism) there is still the problem of checking whether the underlying frames of such models validate the logic, and this may not be decidable when the logic is not finitely axiomatizable, even when it is recursively axiomatizable. (Note that a logic is recursively enumerable if and only if it is recursively axiomatizable, a result known as Craig's theorem.) Example A first-order formula wit ...

Portuguese Maximalist Federation
The Portuguese Maximalist Federation ( or ) was a revolutionary movement founded on April 27, 1919 in Lisbon. The organization was inspired by the most radical factions involved in the Russian Revolution of 1917, and was mostly composed by anarchists, syndicalists and the revolutionary left of the Portuguese Socialist Party. History Towards the end of World War I, Portugal fell into a serious economic crisis, in part due to the Portuguese military intervention in the war. The Portuguese working classes responded to the deterioration in their living standards with a wave of strikes. Supported by an emerging labour movement, the workers achieved some of their objectives, such as an eight-hour working day. But a feeling of political powerlessness, the lack of a coherent political strategy among the Portuguese working class and the growing popularity of the Russian Revolution, led to the foundation of the Portuguese Maximalist Federation (FMP) on April 27, 1919. The goal of FMP w ...
