Expedition Robinson
''Robinson'', formerly ''Expedition Robinson'', is a Swedish reality game show and the original version of the international '' Survivor'' format. The television show places a group of strangers in an isolated location, where they must provide food, fire, and shelter for themselves. They are initially divided into two tribes. The contestants compete in challenges for rewards and immunity from elimination. The remaining contestants are eventually merged into a single tribe. The contestants are progressively eliminated from the game as they are voted out by their fellow contestants or, as may be the result after the merge, lose an immunity challenge until only one remains and is awarded the grand prize. Maria Alexandra Paula Louise Jademyr Zazzi (born 7 June 1966) is a Swedish chef, journalist and television host. Career Zazzi was in Rapallo, Italy. ''Expedition Robinson 1998'' is the second edition of '' Expedition Robinson'' to air in Sweden and it aired in 1998. A major twist this season was that when a tribe lost an immunity challenge, the other tribe would vote out one of their members. Another twist was that of the 'joker', Jochen Schützdeller, who entered the game when the tribes merged. Along with the twists, this season was the first to include an alliance (The Girl Mafia), which would later go on to be a constant factor in later seasons. Martin Melin (born 6 March 1967), is a Swedish author, police officer, politician and former television personality, and the world's first winner of the TV reality series Expedition Robinson (the first of the Survivor series) in 1997. Melin has been Member of the Swedish Parliament since August 2023, representing Stockholm Municipality. He previously replaced Joar Forssell as Member of the Swedish Parliament during the latters leave of absence from 31 October 2022 to 30 April 2023. Melin won the reality television show Expedition Robinson 1997 on 13 December. In the late 1990s, Melin appeared on numerous shows such as ''På rymmen'', ''Jakten på ökenguldet'' and ''Hon och han''.
