They were both previously in the Tourists, a band that broke up in 1980. They released their first studio album, '' In the Garden'', in 1981 to little success, but achieved global acclaim with their second album, ''Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)'' (1983). The title track became a worldwide hit, reaching number two in the UK Singles Chart, and number one in Canada and the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Eurythmics went on to release a string of hit singles and albums, including "Love Is a Stranger", "There Must Be an Angel (Playing with My Heart)" and " Here Comes the Rain Again", before splitting in 1990. Stewart became a sought-after record producer, while Lennox began a solo recording career in 1992 with her debut album ''Diva''. After almost a decade apart, Eurythmics reunited to record their ninth album, ''Peace'', released 1999 ...

"There Must Be an Angel (Playing with My Heart)" is a song by the British musical duo Eurythmics, released as the second single from their fifth studio album, ''Be Yourself Tonight'' (1985). It features a harmonica solo by American musician Stevie Wonder. The song became a worldwide success; reaching number one in Ireland, Norway, Finland, and the United Kingdom, where it remains the duo's only chart-topper. Original version David A. Stewart, David Stewart recalled that he served as the producer for the overdub session with Stevie Wonder, who played harmonica on the song. MTV Video Music Award For Best New Artist
The MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist has been given out since the first annual MTV Video Music Awards in 1984. Until 2006, the award was named Best New Artist in a Video. In 2007 its name was changed to Best New Artist, as the category underwent a format change to recognize the artist's body of work for the full year rather than a specific video. For the 2008 ceremony, the award retained its 2007 name but returned to the format of awarding a specific video rather than the artist's full body of work. The category was later renamed Artist to Watch through 2013 to 2015 while still keeping the format of an award going to a particular video. In 2020, the Best New Artist award merged with the Push Artist of the Year award (2018-2019) to create the Push Best New Artist award. In 2021, MTV returned the category to its original name (Best New Artist), thus separating it from the MTV Push initiative, which again received its own category (Push Performance of the Year). Winners an ...

MTV Video Music Award
The MTV Video Music Awards (commonly abbreviated as the VMAs) is an award show presented by the cable channel MTV to honor the best in the music video medium. Originally conceived as an alternative to the Grammy Awards (in the video category), the annual MTV Video Music Awards ceremony has often been called the Super Bowl for youth, an acknowledgment of the VMA ceremony's ability to draw millions of youth from teens to 20-somethings each year. By 2001, the VMA had become a coveted award. The annual VMA ceremony occurs before the end of summer and held either in late August or mid-September, and broadcast live on MTV, along with a "roadblock" simulcast across MTV's ViacomCBS Domestic Media Networks, sister networks since 2014, which is utilized to maximize the ceremony's ratings. The 1984 MTV Video Music Awards, first VMA ceremony was held in 1984 at New York City's Radio City Music Hall. The ceremonies are normally held in either New York City or Los Angeles. However, the cere ...

Ultimate Collection (Eurythmics Album)
''Ultimate Collection'' is the second greatest hits album by British pop duo Eurythmics, released on 7 November 2005 by RCA Records. It marked a return for the duo to the recording studio to write and record the only single to be released from the album, " I've Got a Life", which became a commercial success, topping the US Dance Club Songs, reaching the top ten in Scotland and the top twenty in the United Kingdom. Background and release The release of the album was preceded by one week the reissue of all eight Eurythmics back-catalogue albums originally released by RCA Records. These reissues include remastered tracks and bonus material. The fact that the ''Ultimate Collection'' was closely connected to these reissues is also the chief reason for the omission of " Sexcrime (Nineteen Eighty-Four)". While that song peaked at number four in the United Kingdom in 1984 and was later featured on the previous ''Greatest Hits'' album released in 1991, it is actually taken from the 198 ...

''Billboard'' continued to run regional and city-specific charts throughout 1975 and 1976 until the issue dated August 28, 1976, when a 30-position ''National Disco Action Top 30'' premiered.
