Equo Politicians
Greens Equo (GQ) and formerly EQUO, is a Spanish political party founded on 4 June 2011, when 35 Spanish green parties agreed to merge into Equo. It began as a foundation on 24 September 2010 with the goal of becoming "the seed and source of debate about political ecology and social equity, originating a sociopolitical movement". History The first election it contested was the 2011 Spanish general election, obtaining 216,748 votes (0.9%), making it the 9th most supported party. The party was fifth in Madrid, achieving representation thanks to the Valencian coalition Compromís-Q, in which Equo participated. European Parliament
The European Parliament (EP) is one of the two legislative bodies of the European Union and one of its seven institutions. Más País (MP), or More Country, was a political party in Spain. It was an electoral platform formed by Íñigo Errejón around Más Madrid in order to contest the November 2019 general election. The party was positioned on the left-wing of the political spectrum, and it promoted anti-globalisation, green politics, progressivism, women's and sexual minority rights and direct democracy. Electoral fusion in the United States is an arrangement where two or more United States political parties on a ballot list the same candidate, allowing that candidate to receive votes on multiple party lines in the same election. Electoral fusion is also known as fusion voting, cross endorsement, multiple party nomination, multi-party nomination, plural nomination and ballot freedom. All 350 seats in the Congress of Deputies were up for election, as well as 208 of 265 seats in the Senate. The election was held as provided under article 99.5 of the Spanish Constitution, as a result of the failure in government formation negotiations between the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) and Unidas Podemos following Pedro Sánchez's failed investiture voting on 23–25 July 2019. Juan Antonio López de Uralde Garmendia (born 8 September 1963) is a Spanish politician interested in ecological issues. He was spokesperson of Greenpeace Spain from 2001 to 2010. He was first elected to the Congress of Deputies, Spanish Congress in 2015. He has represented Álava (Congress of Deputies constituency), Álava in Congress for Unidas Podemos, Podemos since the 2015 Spanish general election, being re-elected in 2016 Spanish general election, 2016 and April 2019 Spanish general election, 2019.
