Anders Opedal
Anders Opedal (born 4. May 1968) is the incumbent chief executive officer, and former chief operating officer, of Norwegian oil and gas company Equinor. He joined the company in 1997 having previously worked for Schlumberger and Baker Hughes. He stepped down from the COO position, and became Equinor's country manager in Brazil in January 2017. Fornebu (local form ''Fornebo'') is a peninsular area in the suburban municipality of Bærum in Norway, bordering western parts of Oslo. Oslo Airport, Fornebu (FBU) served as the main airport for Oslo and the country since before World War II and until the evening of October 7, 1998, when it was closed down. Overnight, a grand moving operation was performed, so that the following morning, the new main airport, located inland at Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, Gardermoen (OSL), opened for operations as the main airport, as opposed to previously having been a minor airport. Hydro Oil & Gas is a defunct division of Norsk Hydro that operated within the oil and gas industry. On October 1, 2007 it merged with Statoil to form the new corporation StatoilHydro. Operations Hydro's main operations in petroleum were on the Norwegian continental shelf, but also operates in Angola, Canada, Russia and Libya. Hydro was the operator of 13 oil fields and had a production of 563,000 barrels of oil equivalents. Downstream Hydro also operated gas stations in Sweden under the brand name Hydro and operates in Norway and Denmark with the name HydroTexaco in joint venture with Chevron.
