Ehrnrooth Family
The Ehrnrooth family is a Finland, Finnish Nobility, noble family of German origin. It originated from Pomerania, and came to Finland from Livonia around 1600. Its status descends from Johan Plagman (1623–1696), who was raised to nobility in 1687. The family was registered in the Finnish House of Nobility in 1818. Members of the Ehrnrooth family have historically belonged to the Swedish-speaking population of Finland. Many members of the family have been prominent in Finland's business community. Finnish Nobility
The Finnish nobility (; ) was historically a privileged Social class, class in Finland, deriving from its period as part of Sweden and the Russian Empire. Noble families and their descendants are still a part of Finnish republican society, but except for the titles themselves, no longer retain any specific or granted privileges. A majority of Finnish nobles have traditionally been Swedish-speakers using their titles mostly in Swedish. The Finnish nobility today has some 6,000 male and female members. The Finnish nobility is organized into classes according to a scheme introduced in the Act on the Organisation of the House of Nobility (Fi. ''Ritarihuonejärjestys'', Sw. ''Riddarhusordningen''). Leo Ehrnrooth
Leo Reinhold Ehrnrooth (10 March 1877 in Helsinki – 26 July 1951 in Sweden) was a Finnish politician from Swedish People's Party of Finland. He was a member of the Senate of Finland. Solomon (), also called Jedidiah, was the fourth monarch of the Kingdom of Israel and Judah, according to the Hebrew Bible. Carl-Gustaf Casimir Ehrnrooth (born 5 August 1969 in Helsinki) is a Finnish investor. He has been a member of the Guggenheim Foundation's Board of Directors since September 2008. Georg Johan Casimir Ehrnrooth (born 16 January 1966) is a Finnish investor. He is the major owner with his brothers of Finnish HEX exchange stock companies EQ Bank, YIT and Pöyry. Henrik Göran Casimir Ehrnrooth (born 7 July 1954) is a Finnish economist, manager and investor. Born in Helsinki, he has studied at the University of Helsinki and the Hanken School of Economics (1981). Pöyry Ehrnrooth owns with his brothers Georg Ehrnrooth and Carl-Gustaf Ehrnrooth Corbis S.A., which is the biggest owner of the consulting and engineering firm Pöyry (2012).
