Ehime FC
commonly known as Ehime FC (愛媛FC, ''Ehime Efu Shī'') is a professional Association football, football club based in Matsuyama, Ehime, Matsuyama, the capital city of Ehime Prefecture of Japan. The club currently compete in J2 League, the second tier of Japanese professional football. They returned to J2 League in 2024, following promotion as third-tier league champions of 2023. History The club was founded in 1970 as Matsuyama Soccer Club and renamed itself as Ehime Football Club in 1995. For many years it competed in the regional and prefectural league, as Matsuyama was represented in the Japan Soccer League by the Teijin S.C., local club belonging to the Teijin company. Ehime F.C. was promoted to the Japan Football League in 2003. After winning the Japan Football League, JFL in 2005 season, Ehime spent 16 seasons in the J2 League before being relegated to the J3 League at the end of the 2021 season. a.k.a. ''Ehime Matsuyama Athletic Stadium'' or ''Ehime Prefectural Sports Park Stadium'' (愛媛県総合運動公園陸上競技場) is a multi-use stadium in Matsuyama, Ehime, Japan, home of Ehime FC. It is a stadium with four concrete stands around the 8-lane athletic track and the grass field. The stadium's capacity is 20,983 people. Since March 2008, Ehime Prefecture sold the naming rights of the stadium to :ja:ニンジニアネットワーク, Ningineer Network Co., Ltd., in order to increase revenue for a future renovation of the stadium.
