Edoid Languages
The Edoid languages are a few dozen languages spoken in southern Nigeria. Edoid-speaking Ethnicity, ethnic groups are predominantly located in the States of Edo State, Edo and Delta State, Delta however, smaller Edoid-speaking communities are also present in the states of Ondo State, Ondo, Bayelsa State, Bayelsa, and Rivers State, Rivers. The term "Edoid" for the language group derives from its most widely spoken member, Edo language, Edo, which is natively spoken in Edo South senatorial district, Southern Edo. Edoid languages collectively have approximately 10 million primary and secondary speakers. Niger River
The Niger River ( ; ) is the main river of West Africa, extending about . Its drainage basin is in area. Its source is in the Guinea Highlands in south-eastern Guinea near the Sierra Leone border. It runs in a crescent shape through Mali, Niger, on the border with Benin and then through Nigeria, discharging through a massive River delta, delta, known as the Niger Delta, into the Gulf of Guinea in the Atlantic Ocean. The Niger is the third-longest river in Africa, exceeded by the Nile and the Congo River. Its main tributary is the Benue River.
