Duranguense Music Groups
Duranguense is a subgenre of regional Mexican music. It is a hybrid of Technobanda and Tamborazo. The instruments used from Tamborazo are the saxophone, trombone, and tambora, while the instruments used from Technobanda are the electronic keyboard (specifically the Korg X3, Korg N364, which are used for the main melody and the Yamaha DX7, which is used by many bands for the bass section), drum set, and vocals. The electronic keyboard is emphasized in Duranguense, giving the genre its own signature riff. In the mid to late 2000s, Duranguense was one of the most prevalent regional Mexican genres. Duranguense was further evolved with its own " Chicago sound" as Mexican American artists from the area incorporated different rhythms and styles into the genre. History The term ''duranguense'' refers to the people from the Mexican state of Durango. Grupo Paraíso Tropical de Durango are believed to be the first to begin the movement in the early 1990s. Music Of Chicago
Chicago, Illinois is a major center for music in the midwestern United States where distinctive forms of blues (greatly responsible for the future creation of rock and roll), and house music, a genre of electronic dance music, were developed. The " Great Migration" of poor black workers from the South into the industrial cities brought traditional jazz and blues music to the city, resulting in Chicago blues and "Chicago-style" Dixieland jazz. Notable blues artists included Muddy Waters, Junior Wells, Howlin' Wolf and both Sonny Boy Williamsons; jazz greats included Nat King Cole, Gene Ammons, Benny Goodman and Bud Freeman. Chicago is also well known for its soul music. In the early 1930s, Gospel music began to gain popularity in Chicago due to Thomas A. Dorsey's contributions at Pilgrim Baptist Church. In the 1980s and 1990s, heavy rock, punk and hip hop also became popular in Chicago. Orchestras in Chicago include the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Lyric Opera of Chicag ...

Cumbia
Cumbia refers to a number of musical rhythms and folk dance traditions of Latin America, generally involving musical and cultural elements from American Indigenous peoples, Europeans, and Africans during colonial times. Cumbia is said to have come from funeral traditions in the Afro-Colombian community. Cumbia traditionally uses three drums ('' tambora'', ' and ''llamador''), three flutes (''gaita hembra'' and ''gaito macho'', both forms of , and '' flauta de millo'') and has a or meter. The sound of cumbia can be characterized as having a simple "chu-chucu-chu" rhythm created by the guacharaca. The genre frequently incorporates brass instruments and piano. In order to properly understand the interlocking relationship between cumbia's roots, its Pan-American (and then global) routes, and its subgenres, Colombia's geocultural complexities must be taken into account. Most Hispanic American countries have made their own regional version of Cumbia, some of them with their own part ...
