Dreamworld is a theme park and zoo situated on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Gold Coast in Queensland. It is Australia's biggest theme park with over 40 rides and attractions. Attractions at the park range from thrill rides such as the King Claw and Serpent Slayer to family and kids attractions such as the Dreamworld Express, Rivertown (Dreamworld), Jungle Rush, and Sky Voyager. Among the 40+ attractions includes the world's tallest and fastest drop tower, The Giant Drop; The Gold Coaster, the oldest operating steel roller coaster in Queensland; and Steel Taipan, a triple-launch high-thrills coaster. Thunder River Rapids Ride
The Thunder River Rapids Ride was a river rapid type water ride located in the Town of Gold Rush section of the Dreamworld theme park on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. After four riders were killed on it on 25 October 2016, the ride was closed. On 9 November 2016, Ardent Leisures' CEO announced that the ride would not reopen, and was to be demolished. In October 2017, police recommended that no criminal charges be laid against any person in relation to the deaths. Eureka Mountain Mine Ride
Eureka Mountain Mine Ride was a Wild Mouse steel roller coaster located at Dreamworld in Gold Coast, Australia. After closing for maintenance in 2006, the ride remained inactive for 11 years. Following a third-party assessment in December 2017, the decision was made by management for the ride not to reopen again due to the deteriorated state of the track. The remainder of the structure and ride was subsequently demolished within the same month. Blue Lagoon, Queensland
Blue Lagoon was a themed water park at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, Queensland. The area consisted of a large mountain which contained three water slides and two swimming pools. Blue Lagoon opened in 1983 along with Village Green. The area could be accessed via Gold Rush Country and Rocky Hollow. The Dreamworld Studios was located next to the area. Blue Lagoon served as Dreamworld's water park until 2006 when the area was closed months before the opening of WhiteWater World. Thunderbolt (Dreamworld)
The Thunderbolt was a steel roller coaster located at the Dreamworld theme park in Gold Coast, Australia. The roller coaster opened with the park in April 1982 and operated until 8 August 2003. It was demolished the following year. History On 15 December 1981, Dreamworld officially opened to the public. In April 1982, the park opened its first roller coaster - the Thunderbolt. It was the first roller coaster in Australia to feature vertical loops. Originally painted completely white, the Thunderbolt was repainted around 1990 to feature golden loops. Sir Johannes Bjelke-Petersen (13 January 191123 April 2005) was an Australian politician and farmer who served as premier of Queensland between 1968 and 1987, for almost 20 years, as state leader of the National Party (earlier known as the Country Party). Bjelke-Petersen was born in New Zealand's North Island to Danish immigrant parents. His family moved back to Australia when he was a child and settled on farming property near Kingaroy, Queensland.
