Donaghmede
Donaghmede () is a mixed socio-economic residential suburb on the northern side of Dublin, Ireland, formed from parts of Baldoyle, Coolock and Raheny in the 1970s. It contains a mid-size shopping centre and a ruined chapel. Location Donaghmede is situated approximately to the north east of Dublin city centre, and is in the constituency of Dublin Bay North. Donaghmede lies west of Baldoyle from which it was largely formed, north of Raheny, east of Coolock and Balgriffin and south of Portmarnock. In the northern part of Donaghmede is the Grange Stream, running in a culvert from western Donaghmede, past Grange Abbey and flowing into the Mayne River in northern Baldoyle. Flowing through the southern parts of Donaghmede is another stream, the ''Kilbarrack Stream'' and/or ''Daunagh Water'', culverted in stage in the 1970s and 1980s. Baldoyle
Baldoyle () is a coastal suburb of Dublin, Ireland, it was developed from a former fishing village. Baldoyle is also a civil parish in the barony of Coolock within the traditional County Dublin. Location and access Baldoyle is located northeast of the city, and borders Donaghmede, which was formed from its western part, Portmarnock, Sutton and Bayside. It can be accessed from the coast road from Dublin to Howth, which includes a cycle track, from Sutton Cross via Station Road, or from Donaghmede, or Portmarnock. Howth Junction & Donaghmede railway station () serves the area of Donaghmede, and parts of Kilbarrack in Dublin, Ireland. One entrance is located in Donaghmede, the other in Kilbarrack, and it is where the line to Howth branches off the Belfast–Dublin line, making it the key exchange station on the northern section of the DART suburban railway system. History Howth Junction station opened on 1 October 1848. 2021 assault A woman was knocked onto a rail track at the station around 9pm on 1 April 2021. CCTV of the incident circulated on social media. It showed teens standing on the platform. When one woman ran by, two teens attempted to shove her, one of them moving his bike into her path. The Dublin Area Rapid Transit system (stylised as DART) is an electrified commuter rail railway network serving the coastline and city of Dublin, Ireland. The service makes up the core of Dublin's suburban railway network, stretching from Greystones, County Wicklow, in the south to Howth and Malahide in north County Dublin. The DART serves 31 stations and consists of 53 route kilometres of electrified railway ( double track, single), and carries in the region of 20 million passengers per year. Coolock
Coolock () is a large suburban area, centred on a village, on Dublin city's Northside in Ireland. Coolock is crossed by the Santry River, a prominent feature in the middle of the district, with a linear park and ponds. The Coolock suburban area encompasses parts of three Dublin postal districts: Dublin 5, Dublin 13 and Dublin 17. Clongriffin railway station (Irish: ''Stáisiún Chluain Ghrifín'') is a station at the western edge of Clongriffin on the northern section of the ( DART), also accessible from Myrtle Avenue in Baldoyle and also serving other parts of northern Donaghmede, and Balgriffin. The Mayne River (), is a small watercourse of northern County Dublin. It forms from the merger of the Cuckoo and Turnapin Streams, which rise near Dublin Airport and help drain the airport campus.
