Districts Of Turku
The city of Turku, Finland is divided into nine wards (''see Wards of Turku''), which in turn are divided into 78 non-governmental districts ( in Finnish, in Swedish). These are composed of individual suburbs, and in the very centre of the city, sectors of the central business district are identified by Roman numerals. I District, Turku
The I District is the easternmost of the central Districts of Turku, districts of Turku, Finland. It is located on the east side of the Aura River (Finland), river Aura, between ''Uudenmaankatu'' and the Helsinki motorway (Finnish national road 1). The main street Hämeenkatu divides the district in Sirkkala and Universities area, and continues as the national road 10 towards Hämeenlinna. The district hosts all three university, universities of the city, the University of Turku, Åbo Akademi, and the Turku School of Economics and Business Administration. The V District, also known as Itäranta ( Finnish; ''Öststranden'' in Swedish, meaning 'east bank'), is one of the central districts of Turku, Finland. It is located in the southwestern part of the city, and consists of several residential suburbs and an industrial area. Kupittaa () is a district in Turku, Finland. It is located on the eastern side of the city's centre, around the Kupittaa Park, the first landscaped park in a Finnish city. It is located to the west of the city centre, bordering on the city centre's VIII District (Port Arthur).
