The Devki Group of Companies, commonly referred to as the Devki Group, is a privately owned Conglomerate (business), conglomerate in Kenya. Narendra Raval, a wealthy Kenyan industrialist and philanthropist, is a majority shareholder in each of the companies in the Group. The majority of the companies in the group focus on the manufacturing of building materials, including cement, aluminum and steel. The group has subsidiaries in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Location The group has its headquarters along Ruiru–Kamiti Road, in Ruiru, Ruiru Town, Kiambu County. Rusizi is a district (''akarere'') in Western Province, Rwanda. Its capital is Kamembe, the major city of the Rwandan south-west and the district contains large parts of the former Cyangugu Province. Geography, flora and fauna The district lies at the southern end of Lake Kivu, where it empties into the Rusizi River (after which the district is named). Bugarama is a town in western Rwanda. Cimerwa Cement Limited (CCL) is a manufacturer of cement in Rwanda with capacity of approximately 600,000 tones per year. History The company was established in 1982, with capacity of 50,000 metric tonnes annually. It was managed by a Chinese company, CBMC, under a "build-own-operate-transfer" model. Tororo
Tororo is a town in the Eastern Region, Uganda, Eastern Region of Uganda. It is the main municipal, administrative, and commercial center of Tororo District. History Tororo was garrisoned by the Uganda Army (1971–1980), Uganda Army's Air and Sea Battalion during the Uganda–Tanzania War (1978–79). On 2 March 1979, rebels loyal to Milton Obote Battle of Tororo, attacked the town, whereupon part of the garrison defected while the rest was routed.
