Delerium Songs
Delerium is a Canadian New-age music, new-age ambient music, ambient electronic musical duo that formed in 1987, originally as a side project of the influential industrial music act Front Line Assembly. Throughout the band's history, their musical style has encompassed a broad range, including dark ethereal ambient trance music, trance, voiceless industrial soundscapes, and electronic pop music. They are best known for their worldwide hit "Silence (Delerium song), Silence". The band is known to feature female guest vocalists on their albums since their 1994 album ''Semantic Spaces''. Noise Unit
Noise Unit is a Canadian industrial band, founded by Bill Leeb of Front Line Assembly as a side project. The band has seen several changes in line-up, with Bill Leeb being the only permanent member. History Noise Unit's first album, ''Grinding into Emptiness'', arose from the collaboration between Leeb and Marc Verhaeghen of Belgian industrial band Klinik. It was released in 1989 through Wax Trax!, and Antler-Subway. The 1990 album ''Response Frequency'' included Rhys Fulber. After the completion of the album, Verhaeghen left Noise Unit for several years. Fulber remained with the band for the next three releases, including the contemporary techno album ''Decoder'' in 1995. ''Faces, Forms & Illusions'' is the debut studio album by the Canadian ambient/electronic music group Delerium that was released on January 6, 1989 on the Dossier label. The album was re-issued in 1997 on Cleopatra Records with the bonus track "Dark Star" added and "Hidden Mask" removed. All songs written by Bill Leeb, except "Monuments of Deceit" and "Mecca", which were co-written by Bill Leeb and Michael Balch. "Hidden Mask" features samples from the song " Im Nin'alu" by Ofra Haza. Artwork The cover features a black and yellow image of Malcolm Browne's famous photograph of the self-immolation of Thích Quảng Đức, a Vietnamese Buddhist monk, in Saigon in 1963. Skinny Puppy
Skinny Puppy was a Canadian electro-industrial band formed in Vancouver in 1982. The group was among the founders of the industrial rock and electro-industrial genres. Initially envisioned as an experimental side-project by cEvin Key (Kevin Crompton) while he was in the new wave band Images in Vogue, Skinny Puppy evolved into a full-time project with the addition of vocalist Nivek Ogre (Kevin Ogilvie). Over the course of 13 studio albums and many live tours, Key and Ogre were the only constant members. ''Semantic Spaces'' is the seventh studio album by Canadian industrial/electronic music group Delerium in 1994. Guest musicians on the album include Greg Reely and Kristy Thirsk. Thirsk was dubbed "The Voice of Delerium" for providing vocals to "Flowers Become Screens", "Incantation", "Metamorphosis" and "Flatlands". Release "Flowers Become Screens" is the single taken from ''Semantic Spaces''. The B-side of the single is the track "Incantation" from the same album. Silence (Delerium Song)
"Silence" is a song by Canadian electronic music group Delerium featuring Canadian singer and co-writer Sarah McLachlan, first released as a single in May 1999. Over the years, its remixes have been hailed as one of the greatest trance songs of all time, over two decades after its initial release. The Tiësto remix of the song was voted by ''Mixmag'' readers as the 12th-greatest dance record of all time. Chris Peterson (born May 14, 1968) is a Canadian producer and electronic musician from Vancouver. Throughout his career, he has worked with numerous bands in the Canadian Industrial music, industrial and electronic music scene of which Front Line Assembly and Delerium are the most notable. Rhys Fulber
Nowell Rhys Fulber (born October 10, 1970) is a Canadian electronic musician and producer. He is a member of Front Line Assembly and Delerium, along with Bill Leeb. He also records under his own name and under the name Conjure One. Biography Fulber was born in Vancouver, British Columbia on October 10, 1970. His father, a musician, was born in Germany and his mother was from Great Britain. His father introduced him to the music of Led Zeppelin and Kraftwerk; they both attended a Kraftwerk concert in 1975. Fulber became interested in music and started drumming on his father's instruments at a very early age. Along with Kraftwerk, Fulber's electronic influences included Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD), Jean-Michel Jarre, SPK (band), SPK, and Pete Shelley's ''Homosapien (album), Homosapien'' (1981). Bill Leeb
Wilhelm Anton "Bill" Leeb (born 21 September 1966, in Vienna, Austria) is an Austrian-Canadian electronic musician and record producer. He is best known for being a founding member of the industrial music group Front Line Assembly and Delerium. Additionally, Leeb is known for his work with groups Noise Unit, Intermix, Skinny Puppy, Synæsthesia, Cyberaktif, Equinox, Fauxliage and Pro>Tech. Career Leeb began his musical career with industrial band Skinny Puppy in 1984 under the pseudonym Wilhelm Schroeder, contributing bass synth and occasional backing vocals to a few of their recordings and concerts.
