Daze (band)
Daze is a Danish Eurodance band, best known for their singles "Superhero", "Toy Boy" and " Together Forever (The Cyber Pet Song)". The group's members are Trine Bix, Jesper Tønnov and Lucas Sieber. The group's "zany" "turbo-pop" musical style is compared to that of Danish-Norwegian Europop band Aqua. History Daze started out as Systematixx in 1994, with Trine Bix, Jesper Tønnov, Lucas Sieber and Steen Bay Hansen. In 1997, Bix, Tønnov and Sieber decided to form a new band, and chose the name Daze, which was a brainchild of RnB producer Karlin. Steen did not join the group for unknown reasons. The group's music is inspired by Aqua, Dr. Alban and Herbie Crichlow. The group's debut album, ''Super Heroes'', initially published in Scandinavia by Sony Music, sold 31,000 copies on the release date and was later released in the United States by Columbia Records and in non-Nordic global territories by Epic Records. Dazexiang Uprising
The Chen Sheng and Wu Guang uprising (), August 209 B.C.– January 208 B.C., was the first uprising against the Qin dynasty following the death of Qin Shi Huang. Led by Chen Sheng and Wu Guang, the uprising was unsuccessful. Name It is also called the Dazexiang uprising () as the uprising started in Dazexiang (大泽乡), which translates into "Big Swamp Village". History Chen Sheng and Wu Guang were both army officers who were ordered to lead their bands of commoner soldiers north to participate in the defense of Yuyang ( zh, s=渔阳, t=漁陽). However, they were stopped halfway in present-day Anhui province by flooding from a severe rainstorm. The harsh Qin laws mandated execution for those who showed up late for government jobs, regardless of the nature of the delay. Figuring that they would rather fight than accept execution, Chen and Wu organized a band of 900 villagers to rebel against the government. Éric Dazé
Éric Dazé (born July 2, 1975) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey winger who played for the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League for eleven seasons from 1995 to 2005. Playing career Eric Daze began his career playing midget with Laval in Quebec AAA Midget Hockey League. In the 1992–93, he joined the Hull Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) before being traded to the Beauport Harfangs late in the season. Despite starring for Beauport, and a strong junior career (finishing with 261 points in 191 games), Daze's value amongst NHL scouts dropped sharply due to his unwillingness to play a rough game, despite possessing the abilities for it. Daze was drafted in the fourth round, 90th overall, in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks (with the draft pick the Blackhawks received with Stephane Beauregard for Dominik Hasek).
