Day Star
Day Star (1875–1893) was the winner of the 4th annual Kentucky Derby held at Churchill Downs on May 21, 1878. He was a chestnut colt that was foaled in Kentucky and was sired by Star Davis (by the successful Glencoe). His dam was Squeeze-'em who was sired by Lexington, a foundation sire of many modern Thoroughbred lineages. Day Star won the Derby by two lengths in an official time of 2:37.25, beating the race record set by Aristides in 1875, and winning a total of $4,050. In his career, he had 42 starts, 11 wins, 7 places and 5 shows. Daystar (album)
''Daystar'' (stylized in all caps) is the fifth studio album by Canadian singer and rapper Tory Lanez. It was released on September 25, 2020, by One Umbrella Records and was his first independent release after departing from Interscope Records. The music was largely written by Lanez and produced with a variety of record producers, while featuring a sole guest appearance by fellow rapper Yoko Gold. Controversy followed the album when it was released amid criminal allegations against Lanez that he had shot fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion earlier in 2020. Many critics chose not to review the album, and some writers denounced Lanez for using it to deny the allegations. Commercially, ''Daystar'' charted at number six in Canada and became the rapper's fifth straight album to debut in the top 10 of the US ''Billboard'' 200 earning 36,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. DayStar Digital, Inc., was a company founded in 1983 by Andrew Lewis as a subcontract manufacturer of electronic assemblies and circuit boards. In 1986, the company released memory upgrades for Mac (computer), Apple Macintosh (Mac) computers as its first products, and in 1987, DayStar began to market processor upgrades exclusively for the Mac, the first being for the Macintosh II computer. The company focused exclusively on this market for the full range of Mac computers through 1995, utilizing the Motorola 68030, Motorola 68040, 68040 and PowerPC 600#PowerPC 601, PowerPC 601 processors. The Daystar Television Network commonly known as Daystar Television or just Daystar, is an American evangelical Christian-based religious television network owned by the Word of God Fellowship, founded by Marcus Lamb in 1993. Daystar is headquartered in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in Bedford, Texas. The network is based around prosperity theology. History In 1984, Marcus and Joni Lamb (née Trammell) moved to Montgomery, Alabama to launch the state's first full-power Christian television station, WMCF-TV. The Lambs built the station for the next five years, and sold it in 1990. They next moved to Dallas, Texas, where, in 1993, they purchased the formerly defunct KMPX. Daystar University is a private Christian liberal arts university in Nairobi. Daystar's original campus is close to Nairobi city centre, but there was no room to expand at that location. Lab Partners are an American shoegazing band from Dayton, Ohio. Patricia Collins Wrede (; born March 27, 1953) is an American author of fantasy literature. She is known for her ''Enchanted Forest Chronicles'' series for young adults, which was voted number 84 in NPR's 100 Best-Ever Teen Novels list. Career Wrede graduated from Carleton College in 1974 with a BA in biology and obtained an MBA from the University of Minnesota in 1977. She finished her first book in 1978 while working as an accountant and financial analyst. She was a founding member of The Scribblies, along with Pamela Dean, Emma Bull, Will Shetterly, Steven Brust and Nate Bucklin, in January 1980, "to which hebelonged for five extremely productive years."
