Darién Gap
The Darién Gap (, , ) is a geographic region that connects the Americas, American continents, stretching across southern Panama's Darién Province and the northern portion of Colombia's Chocó Department. Consisting of a large drainage basin, dense rainforest, and mountains, it is known for its remoteness, difficult terrain, and extreme environment, with a reputation as one of the most inhospitable regions in the world. Nevertheless, as the only land bridge between North and South America, the Darién Gap has historically served as a major route for both humans and wildlife. The geography of the Darién Gap is highly diverse. The Colombian side is dominated primarily by the river delta of the Atrato River, which creates a flat marshland at least wide. The Tanela River, which flows toward Atrato, was Hispanicized to Darién by 16th Century European conquistadors. Darien Fenton
Darien Elizabeth Fenton (born 25 February 1954) is a New Zealand politician and was a Member of Parliament from until her retirement in 2014. Personal life and early career Fenton's grandfather, Fred Frost, was a Labour MP for New Plymouth from 1938 to 1943. Fenton is of Māori descent. Fenton grew up in a Palmerston North state house. On her entry to parliament in 2005, a newspaper claimed that she might have the "most varied CV of any newcomer to Parliament", including extensive travels, and work as an extra in India in Bollywood movies and as an administrative research assistant to the Tower of London's master of armouries. , also known as , is a fictional character and one of the primary protagonists of the ''Sailor Moon'' media franchise created by Naoko Takeuchi. He disguises himself to support the series' central heroines, the Sailor Guardians. Wearing a mask to conceal his identity, he interferes with enemy operations, offers the Sailor Guardians advice, and sometimes physically aids them in battle. He is the guardian and protector of the Earth, thus making him a member of the Sailor Guardians. Georges Darien
Georges Darien (pseudonym for Georges Hippolyte Adrien; 1862–1921) was a French writer associated with anarchism and an outspoken advocate of Georgism. Life Darien was born into a deeply religious family. On 16 March 1881 he enlisted in the army. Between June 1883 and March 1886 he served in a disciplinary unit, Compagnie de fusiliers de discipline, in North Africa. During his stay in the company he spent about a year in Gafsa, a prison camp located in the town of the same name in Tunisia. Based on this experience, he wrote the novel ''Biribi discipline militaire'' (1890). Shortly before, he had published his first novel, ''Bas les cœurs!'' (1890), which narrates the impact of the Franco-Prussian War and the Paris Commune on a provincial bourgeois family. Darien Ruth Takle is a New Zealand actor, playwright and teacher. Takle is best known for playing Cyrene, Xena's mother in '' Xena: Warrior Princess''. In 2021, Takle was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to the performing arts.
