Danapur Railway Division
Danapur railway division is one of the five railway divisions under the jurisdiction of East Central Railway zone of the Indian Railways. It is located in Danapur of the Indian state of Bihar. The other railway divisions are Sonpur, Samastipur, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya and Dhanbad. The division's revenue for the 2014–15 fiscal year was ₹900 crore (US$110 million). History It was formed as one of the six divisions of the East Indian Railway Company on 1 January 1925 along with Howrah, Asansol, Danapur, Prayagraj, Lucknow, and Moradabad. The Eastern Railway was established on 14 April 1952 and Danapur division came under the control of Eastern Railway. Bakhtiyarpur–Tilaiya Line
The Bakhtiyarpur–Tilaiya line is a railway line connecting Bakhtiyarpur on the Howrah–Delhi main line and on the Gaya–Kiul line, both in the Indian state of Bihar. History The line has its origins in Bakhtiyarpur–Bihar Sharif light railway, which was a -wide narrow-gauge railway laid by Martin's Light Railways from Bakhtiyarpur to Bihar Sharif in 1903 and extended to Rajgir in 1911. It was converted to in 1962. The broad-gauge line was extended from Rajgir to Tilaiya and opened in 2010. The line is to be extended up to Koderma. Feasibility studies for the electrification of the Manpur–Tilaiya–Kiul sector and Fatwa–Islampur–Bakhtiyarpur–Rajgir sectors were announced in the rail budget for 2010–11. Survey work for doubling of this line has been completed and is awaiting the green signal from Railway Safety Commissioner. Bihiya Railway Station
Behea or Bihiya is a nagar panchayat town and Block in Bhojpur district in the Indian state of Bihar. The Behea block comprises 76 rural villages, along with the town of Bihiya itself and 22 uninhabited villages. As of 2011, the population of the Behea block was 1,51,722 of whom 26,707 lived in the town of Behea itself. History A branch of the Harihoban Rajputs once ruled Bihiya. According to tradition, in 1528, the scion of the Bihiya Harihobans, whose name is given as either Ram Pal Singh or Bhopat Deo, raped a local Brahmin woman named Mathin or Mahini, in line with the custom of " taking of ''dola''", which allowed the local Rajput lord to sleep with a lower-caste woman on her wedding night. Mathin then committed suicide, but not before laying a curse upon the Harihobans, who eventually left Bihiya and moved to Ballia across the Ganges. Fatuha Junction Railway Station
Fatuha Junction railway station also known as ''Fatwa Junction'', station code FUT, is a railway station in the Patna Metropolitan Region in Patna district in the Indian state of Bihar. Fatuha is connected to metropolitan areas of India, by the Delhi–Kolkata main line via Mugalsarai–Patna route.
