Adhaim Dam
Adhaim Dam is a multi-purpose embankment dam on the 'Adhaim, Al Uzaym (Adhaim) River 133 km northeast of Baghdad, Iraq. The purpose of the dam is flood control, hydro-power and irrigation. The dam was completed in 2000 with only the embankment, spillway and intake. The power station and irrigation outlets are unfinished. When complete, the power station will have a 27 MW installed capacity and the irrigation outlet will be able to discharge . Deralok Dam
The Rashava-Deralok Dam is a gravity dam currently being constructed on the Great Zab River, just upstream of the town of Deralok in Dohuk Governorate, Kurdistan region of Iraq. The dam will support a 37.6 MW run-of-the-river hydroelectric power station, with the primary purpose to address continued power shortfalls in the region, most precisely to supply the towns of Amadiya and Badinan. According to Kurdish Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani, it is the first hydropower project launched by the Kurdistan Regional Government. Diyala River
The Diyala (Arabic: ; ; Farsi: , ) is a river and tributary of the Tigris. It is formed by the confluence of the Sirwan and Tanjaro rivers in Darbandikhan Dam in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate of Northern Iraq. It covers a total distance of . Course It rises near Hamadan, in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. It then descends through the mountains, where for some 32 km it forms the border between the two countries. Great Zab
The Great Zab or Upper Zab (; or ; ; ) is an approximately long river flowing through Turkey and Iraq. It rises in Turkey near Lake Van and joins the Tigris in Iraq south of Mosul. During its course, the river collects water from many tributaries and the drainage basin of the Great Zab covers approximately . The river and its tributaries are primarily fed by rainfall and snowmelt – as a result of which discharge fluctuates highly throughout the year. The Bawanur Dam is an earth-fill dam currently being constructed on the Diyala River just upstream of the town of Bawanur in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, Iraq. Wadi Hauran
Wadi Hauran (also Wadi Houran, Wādī Ḩawrān ) is the longest wadi in Iraq. Located in Al Anbar Governorate west of Iraq, at Latitude 33.0333°, Longitude 40.2500° it's roughly midway between Damascus and Baghdad near the town of Rutba, it stretches for from the Iraq–Saudi border to the Euphrates river near Haditha. Often the term "Wadi Hauran" is used to refer to the larger geographic area including the wadi itself and its surrounding hills, in addition to small wadis branching from it.
