Damnocracy Members
Damnocracy was a heavy metal music, heavy metal Supergroup (music), supergroup formed on, and for, the VH1 TV show ''Supergroup (TV series), Supergroup'' in 2006. The members of the band ultimately dubbed their band project Damnocracy. The band's assumed manager was Doc McGhee, who has managed the likes of Kiss (band), Kiss, Scorpions (band), Scorpions, Mötley Crüe, and Night Ranger. He had previously worked with Sebastian Bach in the rock band Skid Row (heavy metal band), Skid Row. The band did not release any albums and disbanded in 2010. Its members continued to perform with their original bands or moved on to new projects. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a Music genre, genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. Supergroup (TV Series)
''Supergroup'' is an American reality television show which aired on VH1 in 2006. The show followed five well-known hard rock and heavy metal musicians over a 12-day period during which they lived together in a Las Vegas mansion owned by Nico Santucci in order to create, plan and perform a live show together. The show, which aired in seven segments, starred band members Sebastian Bach, Jason Bonham, Scott Ian, Ted Nugent and Evan Seinfeld. Doc McGhee, who had previously worked with Bach and his band Skid Row, appeared as the band's manager. Journalist Lonn Friend and photographer Ross Halfin, who were long-time contributors for other VH1 features such as Behind the Music, appeared on the show. Crossover thrash (often abbreviated to crossover) is a fusion genre of thrash metal and hardcore punk. The genre emerged in the mid-1980s, when hardcore punk bands, such as Suicidal Tendencies, Cryptic Slaughter, Corrosion of Conformity and Dirty Rotten Imbeciles, began to incorporate the influence of thrash metal. "Stranglehold" is a song by American rock musician Ted Nugent, the first track from his Ted Nugent (album), self-titled debut 1975 album. The vocals are by Derek St. Holmes, however, the "Sometimes you wanna get higher" verse is sung by Nugent. Nugent admits that the song was co-written by Rob Grange, who received no share. "Stranglehold" is a guitar-driven track, over eight minutes long, and set the stage for Nugent's career. The guitar solo was recorded in a single take.
