The Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma ( en, Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques) is an organization that gives out the César Award. It was created in 1975, on the initiative of Georges Cravenne. Board of directors The board is made up of 50 members, with an additional 13 selected for their contributions to cinema. They handle admissions, criteria and overall management. Protests over the structure of the board came to a head in February 2020. An open letter signed by over 400 French directors and actors decried the "opaqueness" of the Board's structure and the lack of democratic governance; members of the Academy do not vote on leadership, unlike similar organizations such as the Motion Picture Academy or the BAFTA. In response, the entire board of directors resigned in the weeks before the 2019/2020 César Award ceremony. This autobiographical film was her directorial debut, and it won the prestigious Prix Louis-Delluc at the 1977 Cannes Film Festival. Antoine Bonfanti (23 October 1923 - 4 March 2006) was a French sound engineer and a professor at cinema schools and institutes in France and other countries. He taught regularly at INSAS in Brussels and EICTV in Cuba. He was born 26 October 1923 in Ajaccio, Corsica, and died 4 March 2006 in Montpellier, France. Career He began learning his profession as a trainee boom-operator on the film ''La Belle et la Bête'' by Jean Cocteau.
