György Cziffra
Christian Georges Cziffra (; born Cziffra Krisztián György; 5 November 192115 January 1994) was a Hungarian-French virtuoso pianist and composer. He is considered to be one of the greatest virtuoso pianists of the twentieth century. Among his teachers was István Thomán, who was a favourite pupil of Franz Liszt. Born in Budapest, he became a French citizen in 1968. Cziffra is known for his recordings of works of Franz Liszt, Frédéric Chopin and Robert Schumann, and also for his technically demanding arrangements or paraphrases of several orchestral works for the piano, including Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's '' Flight of the Bumblebee'' and Johann Strauss II's '' The Blue Danube''. Cziffra left a sizeable body of recordings. He died in Senlis in 1994 aged 72. Early years Cziffra was born to a poor Romani family of musicians in Budapest in 1921.Morrison (n.d.). Shirin Aumeeruddy-Cziffra (born in Great Britain) is a Mauritian lawyer, politician and diplomat. She is the head of the Public Bodies Appeal Tribunal (PBAT), which settles disputes of civil servants and local communities in matters related to recruitment and sanctions since 2009. She was Minister of Women’s Rights and Family Affairs from 1982 to 1983, and became the Mayor of Beau Bassin-Rose Hill in 1987. She was Ombudsman for protection of children's rights from 2004 to 2011. She was the first Muslim woman to be elected as a member of the National Assembly and in a ministerial position in mauritius. Biography Her native language is Mauritian Creole, while she speaks English and French. Aumeeruddy-Cziffra completed her law degree from the Inns of Court School of Law in Great Britain. Géza Von Cziffra
Géza von Cziffra (; 19 December 1900 – 28 April 1989) was a Hungarian and Austrian film director and screenwriter. Life Cziffra was a Banat German in origin, born in 1900 in Arad in the Banat region, at that date in the Kingdom of Hungary, now in Romania. Cziffra made films from the 1930s onwards, at first in Hungary, and from 1936 in Germany as well, where he was initially more active as a screenwriter. In 1945, in Prague, then occupied by the Germans, he made the film ''Leuchtende Schatten'' ("Glowing Shadows"). As adviser for the criminal police, he was assigned SS-Sturmbannführer Eweler, a member of the SD and brother of the actress Ruth Eweler. After some time, Cziffra banned Eweler from the studios for excessive and obstructive criticism. Shortly afterwards, he was arrested and taken to the Prague Gestapo Headquarters in the Pecec Palace, where he was accused of having eaten several times in the Czech restaurant "Neumann" without using ration stamps. Zoltán Cziffra (born 10 November 1942 in Keszthely) is a retired Hungarian triple jumper. He won the silver medals at the 1969 European Indoor Games and the 1969 European Championships. He also finished fifth at the 1970 European Indoor Championships and sixth at the 1971 European Indoor Championships.
