Czech Republic
The Czech Republic, or simply Czechia, is a landlocked country in Central Europe. Historically known as Bohemia, it is bordered by Austria to the south, Germany to the west, Poland to the northeast, and Slovakia to the southeast. The Czech Open in badminton is an international open held in the Czech Republic since 1993. The Czech Open is a darts tournament held now at Orea Pyramida Hotel in Prague, Czech Republic and in the past also in many other arenas in the Czech Republic. First edition of this tournament took place in 1995. In 2018-2019, it was one of the most important British Darts Organisation (BDO) and World Darts Federation (WDF) tournament. Czech Open (floorball)
Czech Open is an international floorball tournament. It takes place every year in August in Prague, Czech Republic. It is one of the largest floorball tournaments in the world. Every year over 200 teams from around the world participate. The first season was played in 1993. The tournament is organized by Prague floorball club Tatran Střešovice. Usually, there are six categories in the tournament. Men have three categories (Elite, Pro and Open), women have two (Elite and Open) and juniors have one. Czech teams have a number of places reserved, which are assigned according to standings of the teams in Czech floorball leagues (such as Superliga florbalu or Extraliga žen ve florbale). The most successful team in the history of the tournament is Swedish Pixbo IBK, with nine titles in men's and women's elite categories. Czech Open (golf)
The Czech Open was a professional golf tournament on the European Tour which was held annually in the Czech Republic. The tournament first appeared on the European Tour schedule between 1994 and 1997 as the Chemapol Trophy Czech Open, and was the first European Tour event staged east of the former Iron Curtain after the fall of the Berlin Wall. The first three of those events were held at the Golf Club Mariánské Lázně in Mariánské Lázně, before moving to the Prague Karlstein Golf Club, overlooked by Karlštejn Castle, just outside Prague. Germany's former World Number 1 Bernhard Langer was much the most distinguished of the four champions. The UniCredit Czech Open is a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor red clay courts. It is currently part of the ATP Challenger Tour. It is held annually at the Prostějov Tennis Complex in Prostějov, Czech Republic, since 1994. Jan Hájek, Radek Štěpánek, Jiří Veselý are the singles record holders with three titles won. Prague Open (1987–1999)
The Prague Open is a defunct Grand Prix and ATP affiliated men's tennis tournament played from 1987 to 1999. It was held in Prague in the Czech Republic (formerly Czechoslovakia) and played on outdoor clay courts. Karel Nováček and Sergi Bruguera were singles title holders as they won two editions each one. Vojtěch Flégl, Karel Nováček and Daniel Vacek were the doubles title record holders with two victories each one. Karel Nováček was also a singles and doubles winner in the same year, and so was Yevgeny Kafelnikov.
