Cyprus was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the song "Liar (Silia Kapsis song), Liar", composed by Dimitris Kontopoulos, with lyrics by Elke Tiel, and performed by Silia Kapsis. The Cypriot participating broadcaster Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) originally intended to select its entrant through the fifth season of the Reality television, reality show ''Fame Story'', produced in collaboration with the Greek channel Star Channel (Greek TV channel), Star. However, this plan was later cancelled after the Greek broadcaster Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation, ERT raised objections to the Cypriot selection process being aired in Greece by another broadcaster, and CyBC ultimately reverted to an internal selection for its entrant. Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation
Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation ( gr, Ραδιοφωνικό Ίδρυμα Κύπρου , tr, Kıbrıs Radyo Yayın Kurumu), or CyBC (ΡΙΚ, KRYK), is Cyprus' public broadcasting service. Lisa Andreas
Lisa Andreas (born Lisa Large; 22 December 1987) is an English singer. She represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 and came fifth with her performance of "Stronger Every Minute". At the age of 16, Andreas was the youngest singer to take part in the competition that year. 2001–2003 Andreas began performing as a solo artist at the age of 13, and won a competition at the Strand in Gillingham. Singing became more important to her and she went on to perform at various concerts and road-shows, giving her talents to support charities such as Children with leukaemia. She performed in a concert at the Red Cube in London to raise funds for the New York disaster fund for the 11 September 2001 attacks. OGAE
The (OGAE) () is a non-governmental and non-profit international organisation, consisting of 42 Eurovision Song Contest fan clubs from across Europe and beyond. It was founded in 1984 in Savonlinna, Finland by Jaripekka Koikkalainen. Four non-profit competitions are organised by the OGAE every year to promote national popular music to Eurovision fans around the world. Andrew Lambrou ( ; el, Άντριου Λάμπρου; born 25 May 1998) is an Australian singer. He represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023. Early life Andrew Lambrou was born in 1998 to a Greek Cypriot family. One of his grandfathers is from Paphos, Cyprus, while he also has roots from the island of Lemnos, Greece. Andromache Dimitropoulou ( el, Ανδρομάχη Δημητροπούλου, ; born 12 October 1994), known professionally as Andromache and sometimes Andromachi, is a Greek singer who represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song "Ela".
