Cyprus Turkish Scouting And Guiding Federation
The Cyprus Turkish Scouting and Guiding Federation () is a Scouting federation active in the '' de facto'' independent Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The federation was established in August 2023 within the Youth Department of Northern Cyprus, part of the Deputy Prime Ministry and Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment. It aims to develop scouting in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, enable scouting activities to be carried out in accordance with international scouting rules, bring together the associations dealing with scouting across the country under one roof and ensure unity. The Scouting and Guiding Federation of Turkey played a role in the establishing of the Cyprus Turkish Scouting and Guiding Federation and there is a strong and collaborative relationship between the federations. Scouting or the Scout Movement is a youth social movement, movement which became popularly established in the first decade of the twentieth century. The Council of Ministers () is the executive branch of the government of the unrecognized state Northern Cyprus, consisting of Political minister, ministers. The council is chaired by the Prime Minister of Northern Cyprus and the ministers head executive departments of the government. Scouting and Guiding Federation of Turkey (''Türkiye İzcilik Federasyonu'', TİF) is the national Scouting and Girl Guides, Guiding federation of Turkey. It serves 33,974 Scouts (as of 2011) and 2,883 Guides (as of 2006). The federation is a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement since 1950, and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts since 1987. Flag Of Northern Cyprus
The flag of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus () is the national flag of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and is based on the flag of Turkey, with the colors reversed and two additional horizontal red stripes at the top and bottom.
