''Emmerdale'' (known as ''Emmerdale Farm'' until 1989) is a British television soap opera that is broadcast on ITV (TV network), ITV. The show is set in Emmerdale (known as Beckindale until 1994), a List of fictional towns and villages, fictional village in the Yorkshire Dales. Created by Kevin Laffan, ''Emmerdale Farm'' was first broadcast on 16 October 1972. Interior scenes have been filmed at the Leeds Studios since its inception. Toni Daggert
Tonicha "Toni" Daggert is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale''. She is portrayed by actress Kerry Stacey. Casting Stacey's casting as Toni Daggert was one of three new signings announced for ''Emmerdale'' in November 2005. Toni was introduced as the cousin of Danny Daggert (played by Cleveland Campbell), an already established character on the show. Viv Hope
Viv Hope (also Dawson and Windsor) is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera '' Emmerdale''. Portrayed by Deena Payne, the character first appeared on 10 August 1993, and remained until 13 January 2011, becoming one of the longest-serving characters, after nearly 18 years in the show; her tenure is currently the seventeenth-longest in the history of the show. Kathleen Beedles is a British producer, who has worked on a total of over 2500 episodes of various British soap operas to date. She grew up in Rogart and now resides in London. Marco "Marc" Silcock (born 4 November 1988) is an English former actor, best known for his portrayal of Jackson Walsh in the British soap opera ''Emmerdale''. Career Silcock studied acting at City College Manchester and has a Diploma in Performing Arts. Silcock joined the cast of ''Emmerdale'' as Josh Hope in 2001. John Middleton (born 7 September 1953) is an English actor, known for his role as Ashley Thomas in the ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale''. Middleton played the role from 1996 to 2017, with a brief return in 2018 for two episodes. Ashley Thomas
Ashley Thomas is a fictional character from the British soap opera ''Emmerdale'', played by John Middleton. He made his first screen appearance during the episode broadcast on 5 December 1996. It was announced on 22 October 2015 that Middleton would be departing as Ashley at the end of his contract after the character was diagnosed with vascular dementia in the episode aired on that day.
