The men's scratch race at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, as part of the Cycling at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, cycling programme, took place on 31 July 2022. Lee Valley VeloPark
Lee Valley VeloPark is a cycling centre in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London, England. It is owned and managed by Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, and it was opened to the public in March 2014. The facility was one of the permanent venues for the 2012 2012 Summer Olympics, Olympic and 2012 Summer Paralympics, Paralympic Games. Lee Valley VeloPark is at the northern end of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. It has an indoor velodrome and a BMX racing track, which have been used for the Games, as well as a one-mile (1.6 km) road bicycle racing, road course and 5 miles (8 km) of Trail#Bicycle trail, mountain bike trails. The park replaces the Eastway Cycle Circuit demolished to make way for it. The facilities built for the Olympics were constructed between 2009 and 2011. Matthew Bostock
Matthew John Bostock (born 16 July 1997) is a Manx road and track cyclist, who rides for British amateur team Tekkerz CC. He won a bronze medal, riding for Great Britain at the 2016 UEC European Track Championships, in the team pursuit. At the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, Bostock was one of several riders involved in a serious crash during the heats of the Men's Scratch Race. Derek Gee (born 3 August 1997 in Ottawa, Ontario) is a Canadian bicycle racing, racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProSeries, UCI ProTeam . Career He rode in the 2018 UCI Track Cycling World Championships – Men's team pursuit, men's team pursuit event at the 2018 UCI Track Cycling World Championships.
