The cycling competitions at the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur took place at Nilai and Putrajaya. In 2017 edition, the competitions were featured in twenty events (men: 12 events & women: 8 events). Nilai
Nilai is a town located in Seremban District, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, close to the border with Selangor. It is the northern suburb within the Seremban metropolitan area. Jupha Somnet ( th, ยุพา สมเนตร, ; born 26 April 1993) is a Malaysian road and track cyclist. She won the silver medal in the points race and the bronze medal in the scratch at the 2016 Asian Cycling Championships. Early life Jupha is the fourth of five siblings growing up in Chuping, Perlis. Jupha was surrounded by people who were into sports. Her aunt was the assistant to coach Muhammad Affendy who coached the Perlis Cycling Team. When she was 14 years old, Jupha moved to Sekolah Sukan Bandar Penawar where she took the sport seriously. Jupha finished her studies at Bukit Jalil Sports School. Muhammad Shah Firdaus bin Sahrom (born 26 November 1995) is a Malaysian professional racing cyclist. He rode in the men's sprint event at the 2018 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. He won the 2021 Australian Track National Championship in the keirin event, defeating compatriot Azizulhasni Awang. He had participated in both Sprint and Keirin cycling events during the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. He competed at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in the Keirin event where he won a bronze medal and in the sprint event. Fatehah Mustapa (born 12 March 1989 in Terengganu) is a retired Malaysian track cyclist. She competed in the keirin race at the 2012 Summer Olympics, where she placed 15th. At the 2014 Commonwealth Games, she reached the bronze medal race in the women's sprint which she lost 2–0 to Jess Varnish. She also finished 5th in the women's 500 m time trial. Azizulhasni Awang
Dato' Muhammad Azizulhasni bin Awang (born 5 January 1988) is a Malaysian professional track cyclist. Nicknamed "The Pocket Rocketman" due to his small stature, he is the first and the only Malaysian cyclist to win a medal at the Summer Olympics. Azizulhasni was Team Malaysia's national flag bearer at the 2008 Summer Olympics Parade of Nations. He won his first World Championship medal in 2009, a silver in the individual sprint. His debut Olympic medal came at the 2016 Summer Olympics, a bronze in the individual keirin. In the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, he won a silver medal in the same category of individual keirin. Career Maneephan was born and raised in the Roi Et Province in Thailand's Northeast region. Maneephan began her cycling career as a track cyclist. She competed at the 2008, 2009 and 2010 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. She switched to road racing and was the gold medalist in the women's road race competition during the 2009 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games).
