Cyanothamnus Westringioides
''Cyanothamnus westringioides'' is a species of erect shrub that is endemic to a small area in the southwest of Western Australia. It has simple, narrow, sessile leaves and pale pink flowers arranged singly in leaf axils. Description ''Cyanothamnus westringioides'' is an erect shrub that typically grows to a height of and has ascending branches. The leaves are sessile and elliptic, sometimes trifoliate, more or less terete and long. The flowers are borne singly in upper leaf axils on a top-shaped pedicel long. There are leaf-like bracts about long at the base of the flowers. The sepals are prominently glandular, triangular to egg-shaped or pointed and long. The petals are pale pink, thin and glandular, elliptical and long. The stamens are glandular near the tip. Flowering occurs from July to October. ''Cyanothamnus'' is a genus of flowering plant in the family Rutaceae, native to Australia. Plants in the genus ''Cyanothamnus'' are erect or spreading shrubs usually with pinnate leaves (simple leaves in ''Cyanothamnus anemonifolius, C. anemonifolius'' and ''Cyanothamnus nanus, C. nanus'') arranged in opposite pairs, the leaves or leaflets flat. The flowers are arranged singly or in Cyme (botany), cymes with minute bracts. The petals are usually pink or white, sometimes blue or yellowish-green. Norseman, Western Australia
Norseman is a town located in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia along the Coolgardie-Esperance Highway, east of Perth and above sea level. It is also the starting point of the Eyre Highway, and the last major town in Western Australia before the South Australian border to the east. At the 2021 census, Norseman had a population of 562, of whom 17% were Aboriginal. History The quest for gold led to the establishment of Norseman, on the traditional land of the Ngadju. Today there are a number of small goldmining operations in the area but only the Central Norseman Gold Corporation can be considered a major producer.
