Cursed (Paleface Swiss Album)
''Cursed'' is the third studio album by Swiss deathcore band Paleface Swiss, released on 3 January 2025 through Blood Blast Distribution. It is the band's first album to feature drummer Cassiano Toma, and the band's first album to be released under the name 'Paleface Swiss' as the band had to rename due to there being another artist under the name of ' Paleface'. The first single, titled "Hatred", was released on 26 September 2024 along with the album announcement. It was then followed by two more singles, "My Blood on Your Hands", and "Love Burns", which were released on 7 November 2024 and 4 December 2024, respectively. A music video for the song "River of Sorrows" was released on 3 January 2025 coinciding with the album release. Paleface Swiss
Paleface Swiss is a Swiss deathcore band formed in 2017 in Zurich. The band's lineup currently consists of vocalist Marc "Zelli" Zellweger, guitarist Yannick Lehmann, bassist Tommy Lee and drummer Cassiano "Cassi" Toma. The band have released three studio albums with their latest being '' Cursed,'' released on January 3, 2025 through Blood Blast Distribution. Deathcore is an extreme metal subgenre that combines death metal with metalcore. The genre consists of death metal guitar riffs, blast beats, and metalcore Breakdown (music)#Heavy metal and punk rock, breakdowns. Nu Metalcore
Nu metalcore (or nu-core) is a fusion genre that combines elements of nu metal and metalcore. The genre often makes use of a combination of screamed and sung vocals, in addition to breakdowns, hip hop-influenced drum beats and electronic music elements. During the 1990s, many nu metal groups took influence from the hardcore scene, and metalcore bands including Integrity, Norma Jean and Bury Your Dead embraced elements of nu metal at varying points in their careers. Nuclear Blast Records is a German record label with subsidiaries located in Germany, the United States and Brazil. It was founded in 1987 by Markus Staiger in Donzdorf. Paleface (musician)
Paleface is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and artist who has been active in the music business in the United States since 1989. He tours on a full-time basis as duo with longtime girlfriend, Puerto Rican drummer Monica "Mo" Samalot. Early career Paleface met songwriter Daniel Johnston in 1989. Johnston taught him how to write songs and Paleface began to make homemade tapes. At this time Paleface was roommates with Beck in New York City. Beck says, "We used to go to all the open mics together. He taught me Daniel Johnston songs on the sidewalk and let me sleep on his couch. He was a great songwriter, a generous friend, and a big influence on my early stuff".
