Francis Ford (actor)
Francis Ford (born Francis Joseph Feeney; August 14, 1881 – September 5, 1953) was an American film actor, writer and director. He was the mentor and elder brother of film director John Ford. As an actor, director and producer, he was one of the first filmmakers in Hollywood. He also appeared in many of his brother John's movies as a character actor, including ''The Informer (1935 film), The Informer'' (1935), ''Young Mr. Lincoln'' (1939), and ''The Quiet Man'' (1952). He gave a memorable performance as one of the men who are lynched in ''The Ox-Bow Incident''. Wilbur McGaugh
Wilbur McGaugh (March 12, 1895 – January 31, 1965) was an American film actor of the silent era, appearing mostly in westerns. He also directed five films. He also worked extensively as an assistant director in film and television. McGaugh's parents were Mr. and Mrs. William McGaugh. McGaugh's career changed with the advent of sound films. Described as "sadly inept in front of the microphones", he began working off-camera and became an assistant director for films in the 1930s and 1940s. McGaugh married Madelon Walsh, a film stand-in, on July 28, 1939. Ashton Dearholt
Ashton Dearholt (April 4, 1894 – April 27, 1942) was an American actor of the silent film era. He appeared in 75 films between 1915 and 1938. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and died in Los Angeles, California. He was sometimes billed as Richard Holt. Biography Dearholt worked with Universal Studios on a number of melodramas during the 1910s but usually worked outside the studio system, producing and starring in a series of "Pinto Pete" Western during the 1920s. He occasionally acted under the name Richard Holt. He founded Ashton Dearholt Productions in 1924. Ten years later, Dearholt and Edgar Rice Burroughs founded the film production company Burroughs-Tarzan Enterprises when he was filming '' The New Adventures of Tarzan''. Edmund Cobb
Edmund Fessenden Cobb (June 23, 1892 – August 15, 1974) was an American actor who appeared in more than 620 films between 1912 and 1966. Biography Cobb was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the son of William Henry Cobb and Eddie (Edmundie) Ross. His maternal grandfather, Edmund G. Ross, was a newspaper editor, a governor of the New Mexico territory, a senator from Kansas, and a leader in the abolitionist movement in the United States. Despite his grandfather's efforts to lead Cobb into a career in politics, an initial effort in acting in a locally produced play turned him in that direction for a career. When he was 18, he worked for the St. Louis Motion Picture Company when it made a film in Albuquerque. Other roles with other companies followed.
