Cult Of The Damned
Cult of the Damned are an English rap group, with a shifting line up of a dozen-plus rappers and producers including Lee Scott, Salar and Black Josh. Formerly known as ''Children of the Damned'' they have been releasing music since 2007's album ''Tourretes Camp'', all through various incarnations of Blah Records. Style and Works Reviewers have compared the "haunted, dark" stylings and "air of unpredictability" around Cult of the Damned, to the legendary US rap crew Wu Tang Clan. The first Cult of the Damned album under the new name was 2015's ''Cult of the Damned''. Their 2018 album ''Part Deux: Brick Pelican Posse Crew Gang Syndicate,'' featured in DJ Mag's Top 50 Albums of 2018 list. Jim Jones
James Warren Jones (May 13, 1931 – November 18, 1978) was an American cult leader, preacher and mass murderer who founded and led the Peoples Temple between 1955 and 1978. Jones and the members of his inner circle planned and orchestrated a mass murder–suicide which he described as “revolutionary suicide”, in his remote jungle commune at Jonestown, Guyana on November 18, 1978, including the assassination of U.S. congressman Leo Ryan. UK Rap
UK rap, also known as British hip hop or UK hip hop or British rap, is a music genre and culture that covers a variety of styles of hip hop music made in the United Kingdom. The development of UK rap was shaped by a distinct set of regional influences, slang, and grassroots movements that differentiated it from American hip hop. Alternative Hip Hop
Alternative hip-hop (also known as alternative rap and experimental hip-hop) is a subgenre of hip-hop music that encompasses a wide range of styles that are not typically identified as mainstream. AllMusic defines it as comprising "hip-hop groups that refuse to conform to any of the traditional stereotypes of rap, such as gangsta, bass, hardcore, and party rap. Instead, they blur genres drawing equally from funk and pop/rock, as well as jazz, soul, reggae, and even folk." Alternative hip-hop developed in the late 1980s and experienced a degree of mainstream recognition during the early to mid-1990s. Blah Records
Blah Records is a British hip hop and alternative hip hop record label owned and managed by Lee Scott and Salar Saajedi. It was founded by Lee Scott and producer Molotov (who was part of the management of High Focus Records for a number of years, then later returned to the management team at Blah) in 2006, with label rapper Milkavelli (then Monster Under the Bed) also originally listed as a director. They originally started the label to release the music of their rap posse ''Children of the Damned''. That group later evolved into Cult of the Damned, featuring many label artists. Lee Scott (rapper)
Lee Scott is an English rapper, author, producer, and co-founder of record label Blah Records. He has been making hip hop since 2003, and started Blah in 2006. As well as Blah artists, Scott has worked with veteran rapper Jehst on his label YNR and has released music on High Focus Records. Early life Born in 1985 to a single mother, Scott was raised in the Castlefields estate of Runcorn, Cheshire. He moved with his mother to Rochdale and Liverpool before returning to Runcorn to work at the Teva Pharmaceuticals factory. Black Josh
Black Josh is a rapper from Manchester, England. Since his first releases in 2013, Josh has worked with various producers and rappers across the UK including other Blah Records artists. He has also been part of the rap groups Cult of the Damned, Levelz and The Mouse Outfit. Writers have variously called him a "Manchester cult hero" and a "lyrical maverick". Rapping

Boomtown (also known as Boomtown Fair) is a five-day theatre and music festival held annually on the Matterley Estate in South Downs National Park, near Winchester, Hampshire, England. It was first held in 2009 and has been held at its current site since 2011.
