Crunchyroll Anime Award For Film Of The Year
The Crunchyroll Anime Award for Film of the Year is one of the two highest awards given at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards since its 2nd Crunchyroll Anime Awards, second edition in 2018. It is given for the best anime film from the previous year. Winners are determined through a combined voting process by judges and public voting. Makoto Shinkai and CoMix Wave Films's ''Your Name'' first won the award in 2018, which also awarded ''Suzume'' for the second time in 2023, the first film director and animation studio to win twice. Toei Animation holds the record for the most nominations—also the most nominations without a win—for films with four. Bones (studio), Bones's ''My Hero Academia'', together with Shinkai's ''Disaster'' trilogy, have the most nominations for a film franchise with two. CoMix Wave Films
is a Japanese animation film studio and distribution company based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. The studio is known for its anime feature films, short films, and television commercials, particularly those made by director Makoto Shinkai. It was founded in March 2007 when it split from CoMix Wave Inc., which was initially formed in 1998 from Itochu, Itochu Corporation, ASATSU (now Asatsu-DK, ADK), and other companies. is a 2021 Japanese Anime, animated dark fantasy, dark fantasy film. It is based on the 2017 manga ''Jujutsu Kaisen 0'', which is itself a prologue to the manga series ''Jujutsu Kaisen'', both manga having been written by Gege Akutami. Sunao Katabuchi
is a Japanese animation director, screenwriter, and storyboard artist. He is director of Contrail Co. Ltd. He has been a part-time lecturer at Nihon University College of Art since 2006, and a Project Professor at the college of Art of at the same university since 2018. He has also served as a part-time lecturer at the Graduate School of Tokyo University of the Arts since 2013. He is married to a fellow director of anime Chie Uratani. is a 2016 Japanese animated war drama film produced by MAPPA, co-written and directed by Sunao Katabuchi, featuring character designs by Hidenori Matsubara and music by Kotringo. is a Japanese animation studio founded in 1998. It is currently a subsidiary of Bandai Namco Filmworks, which in turn is a subsidiary to Bandai Namco Holdings. History Actas was founded on July 6, 1998, by Hiroshi Katō and Jūtarō Ōba, who previously worked for Tatsunoko Production and Ashi Productions. Tsutomu Mizushima
is a Japanese anime director and sound director. Career Mizushima was born in Chitose, Hokkaido and raised in Hata, Nagano (now Matsumoto, Nagano). He produced independent films in high school. When he graduated from Nagano Prefectural Matsumoto Misuzugaoka High School, he wanted to be a music teacher, but gave up on higher education due to being out of work. He got a job at Shin-Ei Animation in 1986. His initial aspirations later led him to write lyrics and music.
