Croatian Democratic Alliance Of Slavonia And Baranja
Croatian Democratic Alliance of Slavonia and Baranja ( or HDSSB) is a regionalist, National conservative political party in the Eastern Croatian region of Slavonia. Until 2015, the HDSSB was considered right-wing populist. It was formally founded on 6 May 2006, but had its origins one year earlier, when the group of local Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) politicians, led by War of Independence veteran Branimir Glavaš, launched a political organisation with a very similar name, the Croatian Democratic ''Assembly'' of Slavonia and Baranja () at the eve of May 2005 local elections. The stated aim of new group was the regional reorganisation of Croatia in order to improve conditions in Slavonia, which was - according to Glavaš and his supporters - neglected by central government in Zagreb. Branimir Glavaš
Branimir Glavaš (born 23 September 1956 in Osijek) is a Croatian retired major general and politician. He was one of the founders of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party which was in power in the 1990s and one of its key figures until a split in 2006. In 2009, Glavaš was found guilty of war crimes, including torture and murder of civilians, during his tenure as major general in the Croatian War of Independence. Glavaš came to prominence in his home city of Osijek in eastern Croatia during the war when he led its defense and attained the rank of major general in the Croatian Army. After the war he continued to exercise much influence as one of the leading members of Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ). Croatian Conservative Party
The Croatian Conservative Party ( or HKS) was a conservative political party in Croatia. Last president of the party was Marijan Pavliček. It was founded on 20 November 2014. It joined the Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists (now Alliance of Conservatives and Reformists in Europe) in May 2015. 2016 Croatian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Croatia on 11 September 2016, with all 151 seats in the Croatian Parliament up for election. The elections were preceded by a successful motion of no confidence against Prime Minister Tihomir Orešković and his cabinet on 16 June 2016, with 125 MPs voting in favour of the proposal. A subsequent attempt by the Patriotic Coalition to form a new parliamentary majority, with Minister of Finance Zdravko Marić as Prime Minister, failed and the Parliament voted to dissolve itself on 20 June 2016. Parliamentary elections were held in Croatia on 8 November 2015. All 151 seats in the Parliament were up for election. This parliamentary election was the 8th since the first multi-party election in 1990 and the first since Croatia joined the European Union in 2013. The Croatian Parliament () or the Sabor is the Unicameralism, unicameral legislature of Croatia. Ivo Sanader
Ivo Sanader (; born 8 June 1953) is a Croatian former politician who served as Prime Minister of Croatia from 2003 to 2009. He is currently serving a 18-year prison sentence for corruption in Lipovica penitentiary. Sanader is to date the second longest-serving prime minister since Croatia's independence, holding the office for over five and a half years before resigning in July 2009. He is one of only two Croatian prime ministers (along with Andrej Plenković) who have served more than one term, winning the general elections in 2003 and 2007.
