''Crime Buster'' is a 1968 UK crime drama television series made by Associated Television. The series starred Mark Eden as Ray Saxon, a newspaper columnist with the ''Sunday Globe'' and a former champion cyclist, who investigates and exposes sports racketeers. Crime Drama
Crime film is a film belonging to the crime fiction genre. Films of this genre generally involve various aspects of crime and fiction. Stylistically, the genre may overlap and combine with many other genres, such as Drama (film and television), drama or gangster film, but also include Comedy film, comedy, and, in turn, is divided into many sub-genres, such as Mystery film, mystery, suspense or Film noir, noir. Screenwriter and scholar Eric R. Williams identified crime film as one of eleven super-genres in his Screenwriters Taxonomy, claiming that all feature-length narrative films can be classified by these super-genres. The other ten super-genres are action, fantasy, horror, romance, science fiction, slice of life, sports, thriller, war and western. Williams identifies drama in a broader category called "film type", mystery and suspense as "macro-genres", and film noir as a "screenwriter's pathway" explaining that these categories are additive rather than exclusionary. ATV Network Limited, originally Associated TeleVision (ATV), was a British broadcaster, part of the ITV (TV network), ITV (Independent Television) network. He was best known for his portrayal of the villainous Alan Bradley in ''Coronation Street'' from 1986 to 1989. Joseph Raymond "Ray" Mort (10 January 1926 - 4 July 1994) was an English actor. He was best known for his roles as Ray in the sitcom ''Oh No It's Selwyn Froggitt'', and Ern in the trilogy of television plays for ''Play for Today'' that included ''The Fishing Party'' (1972), ''Shakespeare or Bust'' (1973) and ''Three for the Fancy'' (1974). Sonia Graham (born Sonia Mary Biddlecombe; 22 August 1929 – 18 February 2018) was an English actress whose career spanned over 40 years. She appeared in several British television series. John Rickman (28 May 1913 – 13 October 1997) was a British journalist, broadcaster and author. The majority of his career was as a print racing journalist initially for the Bristol Evening News and then later with the ''Daily Mail'' and ''The Daily Sketch.'' He was a racing tipster, often featuring to the top of the unofficial Sporting Life naps table, a competition held between journalists to select winners. A broadcaster with London Weekend Television's '' World of Sport'' for 23 years, he was the first person to introduce the sport of horse racing on an independent television channel in the UK and is considered one of the pioneer television broadcasters of that sport.
