Craig Ross (born 5 October 1970) is a New Zealand professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. His nickname is The Rock. Career He qualified for the 2019 PDC World Darts Championship, replacing Tahuna Irwin, who had beaten him in the DPNZ Qualifier, but was unable to travel to the UK, owing to visa problems. Ross played Toni Alcinas of Spain in the first round, but only won one leg, and was easily defeated 3–0. Queen (band)
Queen are a British rock band formed in London in 1970 by Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals) and Roger Taylor (drums, vocals), later joined by John Deacon (bass). Their earliest works were influenced by progressive rock, hard rock and heavy metal, but the band gradually ventured into more conventional and radio-friendly works by incorporating further styles, such as arena rock and pop rock. 2019 PDC World Darts Championship
The 2019 William Hill World Darts Championship was the 26th World Championship organised by the Professional Darts Corporation since it separated from the British Darts Organisation. The event took place at Alexandra Palace in London from 13 December 2018 to 1 January 2019. In the biggest overhaul since 2006, when 16 extra participants were added, the number of participants increased from 72 to 96. The top 32 from the PDC Order of Merit competed with the 32 highest ranked players on the PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit and 32 qualifiers from around the world, including two female darts players. The tournament length was consequently increased from six to seven rounds, while the preliminary round was dropped. The tournament was played in 28 afternoon and evening sessions (an increase of six sessions over 2018) over the 20-day period with four rest days included for both Christmas and also New Year's Eve, with 95 matches played. The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) is a professional darts organisation in the United Kingdom, established in 1992 when a group of leading players split from the British Darts Organisation (BDO) to form what was initially called the World Darts Council (WDC). Tahuna Irwin (born 8 May 1997) is a New Zealand former professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation events. Darts career Irwin qualified for the 2018 Auckland Darts Masters, where lost 6–3 to Peter Wright in the first round. A few days later, he won the New Zealand Open, defeating Deon Toki 6–4 in the final. Antonio Alcinas Estelrich (born 7 April 1979) is a Spanish darts player playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Alcinas started competing in PDC Europe events in 2010. After reaching the quarter-finals of a Players Championship in Haarlem in June 2010, he qualified for the European Championship via the PDC European Order of Merit. He was defeated 6–3 in the first round by Mark Walsh, despite hitting a 160 checkout to go 3–2 ahead. Alcinas is an accomplished soft-tip darts player and won the 2010 Soft Tip NDA World Championship. He teamed up with Carlos Rodríguez to represent Spain at the 2010 PDC World Cup of Darts.
