Covey (folk Rock Project)
Covey is a folk rock music project created by Tom Freeman, a Brooklyn-based British artist, who has been called "the face" behind Covey. Originally formed in Boston, Covey included Freeman, Dillon Rovere, and others. Covey moved and reformed in Brooklyn, including Freeman and Rovere, as well as Saguiv Rosenstock and Dan Hemerlein. History Early years in Boston and First Album: 2013–2017 Freeman originally formed Covey while in Boston. The band formed at Berklee College of Music in February 2013, including Freeman, drummer Rovere, keyboardist Joradan Rich, lead guitarist Mike Kerr, and Michi Tassey providing female vocals. Freeman borrowed the name "Covey" from the street where he grew up in England. Covey released their first single in 2014 with the indie folk song titled "Comes and Goes." Bread And Puppet Theater
The Bread and Puppet Theater (often known simply as Bread & Puppet) is a politically radical puppet theater, active since the 1960s, based in Glover, Vermont. The theater was co-founded by Elka and Peter Schumann. Schumann is the artistic director. The name Bread & Puppet is derived from the theater's practice of sharing its own fresh bread, served for free with aïoli, with the audience of each performance to create community, and from its central principle art should be as basic as bread to life. Robert Kolodny is an American film director, writer and cinematographer. His 2023 debut feature film, '' The Featherweight'', premiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival. He was a cinematographer for the Peabody Award-winning documentary film All the Beauty and the Bloodshed, released in 2022. Early life Kolodny grew up in Freehold Township, New Jersey, and attended Freehold High School where he began making films at a young age after developing a fascination with motion pictures. Nicholas Rodney Drake (19 June 1948 – 25 November 1974) was an English singer-songwriter and musician. An accomplished acoustic guitarist, Drake signed to Island Records at the age of twenty while still a student at the University of Cambridge. His debut album, ''Five Leaves Left'', was released in 1969, and was followed by two more albums, '' Bryter Layter'' (1971) and '' Pink Moon'' (1972). While Drake did not reach a wide audience during his brief lifetime, his music found critical acclaim and he gradually received wider recognition following his death. Neutral Milk Hotel was an American band formed by Jeff Mangum in Ruston, Louisiana, in 1989. They were active until 1998, and then from 2013 to 2015. The band's music featured a deliberately low-quality sound, influenced by indie rock and psychedelic folk.
