Court Of Impeachment (Denmark)
The Court of Impeachment of the Realm (also called The High Court of the Realm or simply The Court of Impeachment) ( da, Rigsretten) is a special court of the Kingdom of Denmark, that the Danish Parliament (''The'' ''Folketing'') can assemble, to hear and deliver judgments against ministers accused of unlawful misconduct and maladministration of office. According to the wording of the Constitutional Act, the Queen can also demand that Ministers be impeached and brought before the Court of Impeachment. However, in practice only Government has this right. The Court consists of up to 15 Supreme Court judges appointed on seniority, as well as 15 members appointed by the Folketing's parties from outside the Parliament. Alberti Scandal
Peter Adler Alberti (10 June 1851, in Copenhagen – 14 June 1932, in Copenhagen) was a Danish politician and swindler, known for the Alberti scandal of 1908. Family life On 6 October 1876 in the Church of Holmen the 25-year-old barrister (overretssagfører) Alberti married the five years younger Eugenia née Møller. They divorced and on 14 June 1906 in the Church of Our Lady (Copenhagen) he married the eleven years younger Anna Victoria Bendix née Sundberg, residing at Ny Vestergade 17-2. They also divorced. On 1 November 1906 Alberti moved from Ny Vestergade to Sankt Annæ Plads 9-1 where he resided until his arrest. On 20 August 1917 after his release from the State Prison in Vridsløselille he moved to Fælledvej 10 on Nørrebro. The Green Left ( da, Socialistisk Folkeparti, SF) is a democratic socialist political party in Denmark. It was formerly known in English as the Socialist People's Party, the literal translation of its Danish name. History 1959–1969 The SF was founded on 15 February 1959 by Aksel Larsen, a former leader of the Communist Party of Denmark (DKP). Larsen was removed from the ranks of the DKP for his criticism over the Soviet intervention in the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. Inger Støjberg
Inger Støjberg (born 16 March 1973) is a Danish politician, businesswoman and former reporter who served as a government minister in the Danish Parliament. Støjberg served as the minister for gender equality from 2009 to 2010, as minister for employment between 2010 and 2011, and as minister for immigration, integration and housing between June 2015 and June 2019. A member of the Danish Parliament from the 2001 elections to 2021, she was a member of the liberal Venstre party until 4 February 2021, but left after a majority of the party's MPs voted to impeach her for an order she gave while serving as minister for immigration. On 13 December that year, she was convicted of separating asylum seeker families in which at least one spouse was under 18, and sentenced to 60 days in prison. The office was created by Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen on 27 November 2001 when he formed the Cabinet of Anders Fogh Rasmussen I after the 2001 Danish parliamentary election, in which refugees, immigration, and integration of people from non-western countries had been important issues. The Tamil Case (Danish: Tamilsagen) was a case about family reunification in Denmark of Tamil refugees from the Sri Lankan Civil War. The affair led to the resignation of the government led by Poul Schlüter in 1993. The scandal was first uncovered in a series of articles written by Nils Ufer in ''Weekendavisen''. Ufer later dramatized it in the play ''Mens vi venter på retfærdigheden''. (While We're Wating for Justice). He received the Cavling Prize for his work on it posthumously in 1992. Background The case began in 1987, when the government examined the possibilities of decreasing the number of Tamil family reunifications. Following this, the Minister of Justice Erik Ninn-Hansen decided to stall the advance of family reunification of Tamil refugees.
