Count Me Out (New Edition Song)
"Count Me Out" is a song released as a single by R&B/pop group New Edition from their '' All for Love'' album, released in September 1985 on the MCA label. Much like the group's earliest single, "Cool It Now", again, lead singer Ralph Tresvant is warned by his friends (co-members Bobby Brown, Ronnie DeVoe, Ricky Bell and Michael Bivins) not to fall for a girl after he told them to "count him out" of any activities that they had planned. The song's music video was notable for Brown's absence as he had broken from the group around the time of the video. Only Tresvant, DeVoe, Bell, and Bivins were in the video and parts of the song that originally belonged to Brown were lipsynced by Bell. Brown's vocals remain on the song. Despite a modest showing at number fifty-one on the pop singles chart, the song reached number two on the ''Billboard'' R&B singles chart. New Edition
New Edition is an American Contemporary R&B, R&B/Pop music, pop group from the Roxbury, Boston, Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 1978 by singer/rapper Bobby Brown. Their name is taken to mean a new edition of the Jackson 5. The group reached its height of popularity in the 1980s and is considered the blueprint for what would become the modern boy band. The lineup originally consisted of Ricky Bell (singer), Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe, Bobby Brown, and Ralph Tresvant. Brown was fired from the group in late 1985 to begin a successful solo career, and they continued as a quartet for one album, before adding Johnny Gill to the lineup in 1987. Ricardo Bell (born September 18, 1967) is an American singer best known as one of the founding members of R&B/ pop group New Edition, and the lead singer of Bell Biv DeVoe. As a solo artist, Bell released the album ''Ricardo Campana'' in 2000. Early life and career The youngest of eleven children, Bell was born in Roxbury, Boston, Massachusetts and grew up in the Orchard Park Projects. He began his career singing with close friend Ralph Tresvant in the group Ricky and Ralph. Later, Bell, along with Michael Bivins, Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant, and Ronnie DeVoe formed New Edition. The fourth and final season of ''Knight Rider'', an American television series that ran from Sept 26, 1982 to Apr 4, 1986, began September 20, 1985, and ended on April 4, 1986. It aired on NBC. The region 1 DVD was released on April 4, 2006. Interest in the show declined, leading to its cancellation by the end of the season. Hasselhoff, knowing that the show was coming to an end, attempted to make a "series finale" and helped conceive the story " The Scent of Roses" with his wife at the time, Catherine Hickland, who played Michael's love interest Stephanie Mason in past episodes. Michael Lamont Bivins (born August 10, 1968) is an American singer, rapper, manager, and producer, and a founding member of New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe. Biography Bivins was born and still lives in Boston. He and his wife, Teasha, have four daughters: Savannah, Shilah, Starlah, and Sanaah Bivins. Ronald Boyd DeVoe Jr. (born November 17, 1967), is an American singer and rapper known as one of the members of the R&B/ pop group New Edition, and the R&B/ hip hop group Bell Biv DeVoe. He was born in Roxbury, Massachusetts.
