Council Of Representatives Of Ethiopia
The Council of Representatives (Amharic: የኢትዮጵያ ተወካዮች ምክር ቤት) was a unicameral legislature of the Transitional Government of Ethiopia (TGE) from 1991 to 1995. It was then replaced by the bicameral Federal Parliamentary Assembly since 1995, (consisting the House of Federation and the House of Peoples' Representatives). According to Article 7 of the Transitional Government Charter, the Council has representatives from various national liberation movements, political figures and other organizations, which was composed of 87 members. The Charter On 22 July 1991, the representatives from the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF), the Eritrean People’s Liberation Front (EPLF), and the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) agreed to form the transitional charter of Ethiopia. Unicameralism

The House of Federation () is the upper house of the bicameral Federal Parliamentary Assembly, the parliament of Ethiopia. It has 112 members. Each Nation, Nationality and People shall be represented in the House of the Federation by at least one member. Each Nation or Nationality shall be represented by one additional representative for each one million of its population (Article 61:2 of the constitution). Members of the House of the Federation shall be elected by the State Councils. Nations, Nationalities And Peoples Of Ethiopia
The Nations, Nationalities and Peoples (Amharic: ብሄር ብሄረሰቦች እና ህዝቦች) refers to Ethiopians with all ethnolinguistic groups mentioned in Article 39 of the 1995 Constitution. Under EPRDF rule, the FDRE Constitution was applied in 1994 and came to force in the following year. The article 39 explicitly mention the term into five sections. The language and culture of these ethnic groups that historically residing to their respective territories is recognized under ethnic federalism. In addition, the rights of self-determination is fully granted in Article 39(1). The Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF; ) was an ethnic federalist political coalition in Ethiopia that existed from 1989 to 2019. It consisted of four political parties: Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF), Amhara Democratic Party (ADP), Oromo Democratic Party (ODP) and Southern Ethiopian People's Democratic Movement (SEPDM). After leading the overthrow of the People's Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it dominated Ethiopian politics from 1991 to 2019. The House of Peoples' Representatives is the lower house of the Ethiopian Federal Parliamentary Assembly. Located in the capital Addis Ababa, the House has 547 members. All are elected in theory for five-year term in single-seat constituencies. The proceedings in the chamber are led by Speaker of the House of Peoples' Representatives.
