In Christian theology, the term Body of Christ () has two main but separate meanings: it may refer to Jesus Christ's words over the bread at the celebration of the Jewish feast of Passover that "This is my body" in (see Last Supper), or it may refer to all individuals who are "in Christ" (; see Christian Church). As used by Paul in the Pauline epistles "Body of Christ" refers to all individuals who "heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit" (), "are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit" (), are "joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love" (). Corpus Christi (band)
Corpus Christi was an American Christian metal band from Cincinnati, Ohio. The term "Corpus Christi" is Latin for "body of Christ," which fits the band's Christian lyrics. They were signed to Victory Records. The band has been featured on TVU's weekly countdown show, TVU's Most Wanted. History The Darker Shades of White (2009–2010) Corpus Christi titled their debut album '' The Darker Shades of White'' and released it on Victory Records. One song from the album, "Fight for Your King", received a music video. Halfway through the 2009 Scream the Prayer Tour, original drummer Justin Evans unexpectedly left the band and Aaron Eckermann, drummer from the christian metal band A Plea For Purging, filled in for the rest of the tour. Following the tour, the band found a replacement drummer, Peter Keres. Corpus Christi Records
Corpus Christi Records is a British independent record label started by some of the members of Crass and their recording engineer and business partner John Loder, to release records by artists who did not perhaps fit in with some of the stricter ideals of the Crass Records label. Several of the artists on the label had debuted with 7-inch single/EP releases on Crass Records, but Corpus Christi was used for future releases. According to Crass' Penny Rimbaud, the label was set up to allow artists who had started on the Crass label to set up their own record deal with Loder of Southern Studios under Crass' guidance. Some of the artists on the label, however, such as UK Decay, Icons of Filth, and the American band Crucifix were signed by Loder without any prior involvement with Crass. Corpus Christi Catholic College is a co-educational secondary school located in Halton Moor, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The school currently has a roll of around 900 to 1,000 pupils. Pallikoodam or Ezhuthupally Pally is a word in Malayalam and Tamil that denotes a school. These were mostly village schools run by individual teachers (Ezhuthu pally Aashaans or Asans or Gurus) and were distinct from Kalaris that taught martial arts. Etymology The real meaning of ''Pallikkoodam'' is ''a sacred place for education''. In medieval Kerala, Jain Derasars and Buddhist viharas were known as 'Ezhuthupally. When Budha bhiskhus started small schools, they were called Pallikkoodam. A generally accepted explanation of the etymology of this Malayalam word is that it is a blend word formed out of two Malayalam words ''Palli'' and ''Koodam''. The word Palli means small village in Tamil, Sanskrit & Malayalam. Koodam means Gathering in Tamil and Malayalam. Pallikoodam means village gathering.
