The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova () represents the sole body of constitutional jurisdiction in the Moldova, Republic of Moldova, autonomous and independent from the executive, the legislature and the judiciary. The task of the Constitutional court is to guarantee the supremacy of the Constitution of Moldova, Constitution, to ensure the principle of separation of State powers into the legislative, executive and judicial branches, to guarantee the observance of the State's responsibility towards the citizen and the citizen's responsibility towards the State. Upon request, the Constitutional Court interprets the Constitution and undertakes the review of constitutionality of the Parliament of Moldova, Parliament's laws and decisions, the decrees of the President of Moldova, President and the acts of the Cabinet of Moldova, Government. Constitution Of Moldova
The current Constitution was adopted on 29 July 1994 by the Moldovan Parliament and represents the supreme law of Moldova. It came into force on 27 August 1994 and has since been amended 10 times. The Constitution established the Republic of Moldova as a sovereign state, independent and neutral; a state of law governed by a set of principles including the separation and cooperation of powers, political pluralism, human rights and freedoms, observance of International Law and International Treaties. Domnica was a Roman empress as the wife of the emperor Valens, who ruled the East from 364 to 378. After the death of her husband at the Battle of Adrianople, she ruled as ''de facto'' regent and defended Constantinople against the attacking Goths until his successor Theodosius I arrived. Family Domnica was the daughter of a soldier named Petronius, who was promoted to praetorian prefect by Valens after he became emperor.
