Constantin Popescu (politician)
Constantin Popescu (1921–1999) was a Romanian communist politician and forestry engineer. Between November 1952 to March 1957, he served in several cabinets under the communist regime. In particular, he was Minister of Forestry Management from November 1952 to January 1953 under Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej. In the next Gheorghiu-Dej cabinet, he held the same post from January to November 1953. Then, from May 1954 to October 1955, he was Forestry Agriculture Minister. Under Chivu Stoica Chivu Stoica (the family name being Chivu; 8 August 1908 – 18 February 1975) was a leading Romanian Communist politician, who served as the 48th Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Romania. Constantin Popescu (director)
Constantin Popescu (born 15 December 1973) is a Romanian film director and screenwriter. He is sometimes credited as Constantin Popescu Jr. and Constantin C. Popescu. Life and career Constantin Popescu was one of the directors of the omnibus film ''Tales from the Golden Age'' (2009). His first feature film as solo director was '' Portrait of the Fighter as a Young Man'' (2010), a historical drama about Romanian anti-communist partisans fighting after World War II. It was followed by the family drama '' Principles of Life'' (2010). Popescu's third feature film was ''Pororoca'' (2017), a psychological thriller for which he received the Gopo Award for Best Director.
