Frank Esposito (politician)
Frank J. Esposito (March 24, 1928 – January 9, 2013) was the mayor of Norwalk, Connecticut for seven terms, from 1987 to 2001, the longest-serving mayor in the city's history. He also served four terms from 1981 to 1987 in the Connecticut House of Representatives, including as Assistant Majority Leader and Minority Leader. Early life and family He was born in Bronx, New York, the fourth of five children of Frank R. Esposito and Mary Zecola Esposito. At the age of 12, he moved to Norwalk with his family and graduated from Norwalk High School in 1946 where he was an accomplished football player. Robert Duff (born 1971 in Norwalk, Connecticut) is an American politician, currently serving as a member of the Connecticut State Senate, where he represents Norwalk and part of Darien in Connecticut's 25th District. Alex A. Knopp (born September 23, 1947) is an American professor and former politician who served three terms as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 139th District, which encompassed Norwalk, from 1987 to 1993. He served another four terms from the 137th District between 1993 to 2001 for the Democratic Party. From 2001 to 2005, Knopp served two-terms as mayor of Norwalk, Connecticut. Sally McCarthy Bolster is a former member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing the 137th District from 1988 to 1993. She has served for many years on the Norwalk Common Council, including as its president. She had previously been an aide to U.S. Representative Stewart McKinney.
