Confessional (Janet Devlin Album)
''Confessional'' is the third studio album by Irish singer-songwriter Janet Devlin. It received a general release via Insomnia Music on 5 June 2020 and marked her first release following the chart success of her second album ''Running with Scissors'' almost six years previously. Background and composition Following the success of her second album ''Running with Scissors'', it took Devlin four years to write the material that would eventually form her third album. During that time, she released numerous covers on her YouTube channel, including Ed Sheeran's "I See Fire". All of the songs were written by Devlin in collaboration with other songwriters including Fiona Bevan, Lauren Aquilina and David Sneddon. The album was produced in its entirety by Jonathan Quarmby. Janet Maureen Aoife Devlin (born 12 November 1994) is an Irish singer-songwriter who competed in the eighth series of ''The X Factor'' in 2011, where she finished in fifth place. Grace Davies (singer)
Grace Davies (born 1 February 1997) is an English singer-songwriter. She is an independent artist, previously signed to SYCO Music (Sony) before the label's demise in 2020. She is best known for her appearances on the fourteenth series of ''The X Factor'' in 2017 - where she came runner up, mentored by Sharon Osbourne. Her song, "Roots", which she performed during her first audition, charted at No. 89 on the UK singles chart. Career In Davies' first audition for ''The X Factor'', she performed an original song titled "Roots", and received four yes votes from the judges. Amp (band)
Amp are an English electronic space rock band formed in London by Richard F. Walker (also known as Richard Amp) in 1992, after collaborating with David Pearce of Flying Saucer Attack on The Secret Garden and the Distance projects. Amp recorded the audio cassette/short story ''Green Sky Blue Tree'' with Ray Dickaty (subsequently a member of Moonshake and Spiritualized, amongst others), while Walker was studying at the Royal College of Art in 1992. After a two-year break, Amp resurfaced with French vocalist Karine Charff, Bristol experimentalists Matt Elliott (Flying Saucer Attack and later The Third Eye Foundation), and Matt Jones (Crescent) on board. The bodhrán (, ; plural ''bodhráin'') is a frame drum used in Irish music ranging from in diameter, with most drums measuring . The sides of the drum are deep. A Goatskin (material), goatskin head is tacked to one side (synthetic heads or other animal skins are sometimes used). The other side is open-ended for one hand to be placed against the inside of the drum head to control the pitch (music), pitch and timbre. Qobuz (, commonly mispronounced: ), often stylized as qobuz) is a French digital music store and streaming service, launched in 2007 by Alexandre Leforestier and Yves Riesel. Qobuz is now owned by Xandrie SA. In June 2023, Qobuz offers over 100 million tracks on its service.
